Provides rides to all towns in the covered area, including rural towns not on the standard bus routes. Purpose of rides can include social, recreational, employment, medical, shopping, and other needs. Offers quick response if car is available.

COMMUNITY BUS SERVICES | ADVANCE TRANSIT

Provides fixed-route public bus transportation with routes that include a Dartmouth Downtown Shuttle, a Dartmouth Health Medical Center Shuttle, and nine additional routes connecting the Upper Valley communities of Hartford and Norwich in Vermont and Hanover, Lebanon, Enfield, and Canaan in New Hampshire. A commuter bus is available, transporting riders from Enfield and Canaan to Lebanon in New Hampshire. Use the Transit app to plan trips and help ensure a smoother experience. All Advance Transit buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts and bicycle racks.

SHOPPING ROUTES | RCT

Provides bi-monthly shopping routes to the public, from Lyndon, VT to Woodsville, NH.. Bus riders who live within 3/4 mile of the shopper route and would like to ride the bus, call (802) 748-8170 between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday to schedule a pickup.

COMMUNITY BUS SERVICES | GREEN MOUNTAIN TRANSIT

Provides public bus transportation services with local and long distance commuter routes. Provides commuter bus service with the Milton Commuter. Also provides long distance commuter bus service with the Montpelier and the Saint Albans Link Express routes. All forms of payment, except for cash and open contactless payment, qualify for fare capping. Fare capping means that rides will be free after the rider reaches a total of $4.00 per day/$2.00 a day for discount fare riders. (Or when the customer reaches $50.00 regular fare/25.00 discount fare, their remaining rides for a month will be free.) With fare capping, customers will no longer be required to pay the upfront cost of a monthly pass. Customers who can access Smart Cards or who use the Ride Ready by GMT app can simply load money on the card/app as needed and continue to enjoy the benefits of unlimited travel, once the trip cap has been reached. All buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts, wheelchair tie-down spaces, and bike racks. Requests for allowable deviations from the fixed bus routes need to be made 24 hours in advance. Bus Map and Guides in large print and Braille are available upon request.

LOCAL BUS SERVICES | GREEN MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY NETWORK

Provides local bus service to general public and accommodates qualified riders with deviated routes. Seven bus routes: Blue Line: Bennington In Town serving healthcare and residential areas; Red Line: In Town serving retail and residential areas; Orange Line: Connecting the towns of Manchester, Arlington, Shaftsbury, Bennington; Purple Line: Connecting Bennington to Pownal and Williamstown, MA; Brown Line: Serving North Bennington and Bennington; and Green Line: Saturdays only, around Bennington. Buses may be waved down from anywhere along the fixed route, but may not stop if doing so would be unsafe at that location. Call ahead to determine if location is considered safe.

COMMUTER SERVICE | MOOVER, THE

Provides fixed-schedule and fixed-route service between Bellows Falls and Westminster, Brattleboro, and Springfield. Provides commuter routes between Ludlow and Bellows Falls, Rutland, and Okemo Ski Resort. Deviation from the scheduled route is available up to 3/4 mile. The Springfield route includes the state offices and hospital. During the ski season, the Okemo route operates seven days a week.

GREYHOUND | GREYHOUND LINES

Provides long distance bus service from Vermont to major New England cities and to some neighboring Canadian cities. Stops at several towns throughout Vermont; ticket offices are available in Brattleboro and White River Junction. To board a bus, must have ticket and Photo ID. Each bus can accommodate two passengers traveling in a wheelchair or mobility scooter; call in advance to secure one of the spaces. Call or Visit online to find out locations and hours of bus stops. There is a $20 fee to purchase bus tickets over the phone.

BURLINGTON LINK | TRI-VALLEY TRANSIT - ADDISON REGION

Provides public bus service along US Route 7 between Middlebury and Burlington, with stops in Shelburne, Ferrisburgh, and Vergennes. On Saturday, quarter-mile deviations are accepted. Schedules and route maps are posted on website. Connects with the Middlebury Shuttle, Tri-Town Shuttles, Rutland Connector, and Snow Bowl Shuttle routes. Major stops in Burlington include UVM Medical Center and the Downtown Transit Center where riders may connect to other GMT routes.

UPPER VALLEY COMMUTER | MOOVER, THE

Provides a fixed-schedule commuter route between the Park & Rides in Springfield, Ascutney, and Hartland, the VA Medical Center in White River Junction, Dartmouth College Green in Hanover, NH, and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) in Lebanon, NH. Stop requests not on the schedule may be requested, as long as it is safe to do so. Also, there is a service between Exit 6 and DHMC that matches up with the 12-hour day shift.
