Provides a package of long-term services and supports to Vermonters who need nursing home level of care. Eligible persons choose where to receive their services - in their home, their family’s home, an Adult Family Care Home, Enhanced Residential Care, or nursing facility. Services include personal care, respite care, companion care, adult day services, assistive devices, home modification, personal emergency response system, and case management. Enhanced residential care services include nursing overview, personal care, medication management, social and recreational activities, 24-hour on-site supervision, laundry services, household services, transportation, meals, and case management.

Provides primary and preventive health care, including diagnosis and treatment of illness in children, adolescents and adults. Services include primary medical care such as physical health examinations, acute and chronic health screenings, laboratory testing, and birth control counseling. Provides onsite coordinated primary care, mental health services, and substance abuse services to enhance access to appropriate prevention, treatment, recovery and wellness services and activities. Programs for health maintenance and public health awareness services are also offered. Also provides ready to eat and frozen meals distributed by Grateful Hearts Manchester - a non -profit food organization.

Provides information about local child care providers. Also offers information on what to look for in quality child care.

Educates the public about alternative, renewable energy sources, promotes investment in clean, safe renewable energy, and works to reduce toxic threats to the environment and human health throughout the state. VPIRG is also the lead advocacy agency for accuracy in labeling, requiring clear and specific disclosure of all ingredients, including genetically modified organisms (GMOs), that go into the production of food being sold in Vermont.

Offers a safe and fun place for youth in the community to spend time. The Hub provides games, food, art, activities, programs, and more.

Provides educational presentations on domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, sexual harassment, and related topics to schools, churches, businesses, medical staff, law enforcement, and community organizations. Presentations can be tailored to meet specific organization needs.

Provides a variety of core services in the communities it serves, including emergency support and assistance for low-income families and individuals in crisis. Other services include problem-solving support, assistance with applications for benefits, applying for ID cards, employment goal-setting, budget counseling, tenant-landlord mediation, housing assistance, emergency food services, and emergency assistance with other basic needs such as utility payment assistance.

Facilitates professional case management for individuals in need of mental health or substance abuse services. Services are provided in the privacy of their homes and both individual and family counseling are available.

Provides financial and technical assistance to income-eligible landlords and homeowners in Vermont to reduce the risk of lead poisoning caused by lead-based paint hazards. VHCB also provides lead information for parents, homeowners, renters, landlords and contractors via the LeadSafeVermont website; offers a free guide to lead paint safety for painting, home maintenance, and renovation; and provides free trainings on lead paint safety for rental property owners, managers and contractors.

Provides an interactive map and a downloadable list of statewide polling places for all towns in Vermont.

Provides free college courses for Vermont Department of Corrections (DOC) staff and Vermonters who are incarcerated, including textbooks and fees.

Assists with such needs as personal needs items and emergency dental care (including extractions) for relief of pain, bleeding, and infection. Provides means to return to the state of legal residence for people who are stranded.

Manages 18 mobile home parks throughout the state.

Provides comprehensive preventive, diagnostic, and treatment services for women from puberty through the post-menopausal years. Services include well-woman exams, contraception, pregnancy and delivery services including midwifery services, pregnancy and childbirth education, as well as breastfeeding and postpartum support services. Services may also include menopausal and post-menopausal management services and urogynecology services.

Provides community food shelf services. Personal care items may be available depending on donations.

Offers weekend programs for those who would like to explore science, ecology, the environment, and environmental justice while expanding their leadership skills. Participants will have an opportunity to explore nature, learn about the environment, and be hands on with outdoor projects as a way to give back to the community.

Provides a five-day supply of groceries. Food shelf orders are made up of perishable and non-perishable items. Provides ingredients for Thanksgiving dinner. Deliveries are available to households who are unable to visit the food shelf.

Provides comprehensive services to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other pervasive developmental disorders. Individuals are assigned professional service coordinators who are responsible for clients' Individualized Support Agreements, and for assisting them in achieving success in the community. Services include personal support and case management; specialized residential programs; psychiatric and medical care; vocational and skill acquisition training; family support services; and support services to individuals in nursing homes. Provides a spectrum of supported living arrangements to meet the needs of each person. Clinical services for individuals include provision of a psychiatrist to provide evaluation, medication checks, and after-hours consultation on medication issues. Also provides care coordination services.

Provides assistance to individuals who wish to report instances of cybercrime. If you or your family are in physical danger, please report this to law enforcement immediately.

Provides individualized, comprehensive, outpatient treatment services that address both the substance use of the individual and the needs of those affected by the individual's substance use. Groups are gender and trauma specific and are designed to build relapse prevention skills and harm reduction. Provides information about alcohol and drug use, the effects on individuals, families and communities, as well as information to the public about strategies for prevention and early intervention.

Provides assistance for people who need housing including information and guidance about rental costs; how to select affordable housing that meets individual needs; and how to provide for insurance, utility costs, and other requirements related to paying for housing. Coordinates with other providers in the community to help individuals and families obtain or maintain housing. May offer limited financial assistance with rent, rental deposit, and other payments. Also provides information on tenant rights and responsibilities.

Provides representation to individuals in the custody of the Commissioner of Corrections. Provides representation to juveniles in delinquency proceedings, and to parties in juvenile proceedings including children in need of care and supervision (CHINS) and termination of parental rights cases. Individuals in extradition, probation or parole revocation proceedings are also represented.

Provides a free meal on Thankgiving Day.

Provides MAT (medication-assisted treatment) for adults struggling with opioid use disorder. Provides assessment and treatment for opiate addiction. Services include screening intake, assessment, treatment planning, methadone maintenance and medically supervised withdrawal, counseling services, case management and referral, medical services for opioid disorder, discharge planning, and follow-up.
