Establishes a retirement savings plan for Vermonters who are not currently offered a retirement plan through their employer. The program will automatically enroll workers who do not have access to a retirement plan through their employer in a Roth IRA account. Contributions to the account will be deducted automatically from workers’ paychecks, making it a hassle-free way to save and invest for retirement. Employees can set their own contribution rate, or use the program default, and can opt out of the program if they choose.

MedlinePlus offers information about various health issues, searchable by body location/system, type of disorder, as well as diagnostic tests and therapies.

Coordinates/Provides transportation to medical appointments, as well as dental, vision, counseling, prescription pick-up, and other covered transportation services for eligible Medicaid recipients. Offers volunteer driving opportunities.

Provides second-hand clothing and household goods, including baby furniture. Availability of clothing types and sizes is dependent upon donations made.

Assists individuals seeking to improve their money management skills in monthly bill paying, debt reduction, savings and credit reports and credit repair. Works with the individual to develop a monthly household budget to address their income, expenses and debt as well as referrals to eligible programs to create a sustainable budget for basic living expenses. Also offers workshops that address money management including banking services, preparing for a personal/car loan or home mortgage, reviewing, repairing and rebuilding credit reports and paying down debt.

Provides community food shelf services. Personal care items may be available depending on donations.

Offers a series of health-related workshops and presentations for the community, many of which are offered by health professionals. Information about local wellness programs is provided on line and is also published in flyer form. Topics can include movement and exercise, nutrition, childbirth education, chronic disease self-management, and health/disease specific support group meetings.

Provides telephone and face-to-face crisis intervention services for individuals whose emotional distress may range in severity from difficulty in coping with daily stress to the crisis of a psychotic episode. Enhanced Mobile Crisis Services provide rapid mobile response for individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use disorder crisis. A trained 2-person team can meet the individual at home, workplace, or another community setting, providing support and comfort including safety plans, peer support, care coordination and follow up.

Provides parent-child playgroups connecting families with other families and with services in a social setting that includes arts and crafts activities, storytime, free play and a snack.

Offers in person and telehealth services including: birth control, well-person check ups, sexual health care, STD testing and treatment, pregnancy testing, emergency contraception, cancer screenings, reproductive life planning, HIV testing and prevention, PrEP and PEP, menopause and perimenopause services, transgender health care, hormone therapy, and medication abortion services.

Provides educational presentations on domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, human trafficking, sexual harassment, and related topics to schools, churches, businesses, medical staff, law enforcement, and community organizations. Presentations can be tailored to meet specific organization needs.

Provides a broad selection of recreational opportunities and leisure time activities. Includes children's day camps, which may offer subsidies through the Family Center of Washington County.

Provides funding which includes assistance for utility shut-offs, security deposits, back rent, fuel assistance, car repairs for vehicles needed for work and/or medical appointments and livability-related home repairs for veterans who are homeowners. Other services include individual advocacy, information about other service providers, connecting combat veterans with PTSD to services, as well as helping to obtain a service animal.

Provides a community-wide, coordinated effort to identify, assess and find appropriate options for homeless individuals and families seeking housing or related services, and/or for those at imminent risk of becoming homeless.

Provides loans and/or grants to municipalities, businesses and nonprofit organizations to assist eligible business enterprises. Programs include the Business Development Grant Program, which supports targeted technical assistance, training, and other activities leading to the development or expansion of small and emerging private businesses in rural areas with under 50 employees; the Value Added Producer Program, which helps agricultural businesses and producers expand into new markets and develop new products; and the Rural Energy for America Program, in which rural businesses and agricultural producers are eligible to apply for either energy efficiency or renewable energy project funding.

Provides an interactive web page locator that provides contact information for all tech centers and the courses they are offering. Technical Career Centers offer classes and trainings in specific technical occupations, skilled and semiskilled trades for individuals who have graduated from high school or the equivalent. Included are programs that prepare people for careers in areas as diverse as business, cosmetology, computer science, allied health occupations, auto mechanics, building trades, and manufacturing. Centers also offer classes to the public that augment self sufficiency in areas such as home gardening, food preservation, cooking, computer use, chainsaw safety, and more.
