Provides a variety of core services in the communities it serves, including emergency support and assistance for low-income families and individuals in crisis. Other services include problem-solving support, assistance with applications for benefits, applying for ID cards, employment goal-setting, budget counseling, tenant-landlord mediation, housing assistance, emergency food services, and emergency assistance with other basic needs such as utility payment assistance.

Provides a telephone and/or face-to-face response to individuals in crisis. This service offers an immediate intervention and suicide prevention response by mental health counselors and connects individuals to resources that best fit the needs of their particular situations. Recovery Coaches also help guide people in recovery to finding resources such as detox and treatment, housing, food, heat, clothing, and transportation, and resources for improving relationships and getting connected with others in recovery with whom they can relate. Turning Point South located at Parks Place Carriage House, 44 School Street, Bellows Falls, offers recovery coaching and meetings.

Information about local wellness programs is provided on line and is also published in flyer form. Topics may include movement and exercise, nutrition, childbirth education, chronic disease self-management, and health/disease specific support group meetings.
