Encourages caregivers to practice good self-care and assists them in learning about resources that provide respite and enhance caregiving. This program also uses teaching strategies to reduce the stress of caregiving, work successfully with challenging behaviors, and develop good boundary-setting skills.

Assists youth who are experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis. As a community alternative to psychiatric hospitalization, provides crisis stabilization, comprehensive clinical assessment, individual and family treatment, and discharge planning in a residential, staff secure facility.

A Social Security card/number identifies the monthly benefits for individuals who are fully insured. Provides information about and assists with filing for social security benefits. Benefit amounts depend upon date of birth, wages earned, and the type of benefit.

Provides family dentistry services, including comprehensive clinical care and prevention services. Comprehensive clinical care services include: preventive, restorative, extractions, crown and bridge, periodontal services, as well as the construction and fitting of dentures.

Partners with senior meal sites and senior centers to provide hot, nutritious, noontime meals. Home-delivered meals are often available for those who are unable to reach a meal site because of illness or frailty.

Provides community food shelf services. Personal care items may be available depending on donations. Also provides Thanksgiving turkey and all the fixings.

Provides contact information for all Vermont State's Attorneys who charge and prosecute individuals, including juvenile. Each county in Vermont has an elected State's Attorney, responsible for prosecution of cases.

Provides comprehensive cancer-related treatment in a research-based, clinical care environment. Services include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgical treatment, and palliative care for individuals with cancer. Also researches cancer causes, prevention, cures, and treatments.

Provides fast track medical services to individuals who have minor medical problems that do not require complex diagnostic work, including colds, flu, infections, muscle strains and sprains, cuts, insect stings and bites, rashes and stomachaches. Services include common immunizations, sports and school physicals, lab testing and x-rays.

Operates a workers' rights advocacy organization. Focus of campaigns include cuts in hours, cuts in benefits, favoritism, harassment, unfair scheduling, unaffordable health insurance, health and safety, discrimination, unpaid wages, wrongful firing, workers' right to organize, workers' compensation, and family and medical leave. Services also include sponsorship of employment fairness lectures, films, roundtables, and public awareness marches. Migrant workers' rights information is also available. Organizes and advocates for the Health Care is a Human Right Campaign in Vermont.

Handles cases including evictions, foreclosures, breach of contract, land disputes, orders of protection for victims of stalking and sexual assault, medical malpractice, personal injury, and wrongful death. The Civil Division also includes Small Claims Courts, in which individuals represent themselves in disputes involving damages of $5,000 or less. Appeals from the Probate Division are heard in the Civil Division. Also may provide passport application service.

Provides financial assistance of up to $10,000 to eligible crime victims who have experienced a financial loss as the direct result of a crime, as long as the loss is not reimbursable through other sources, such as insurance. When appropriate, money is available to pay for the following expenses: medical and dental care, counseling for victims and family members, funeral expenses, lost wages due to time missed from work, other expenses such as prescriptions, eyeglasses, and limited transportation costs. If death occurs as a result of the crime, legal dependents may receive temporary living expenses.

Provides information about Medicare, determines eligibility for Medicare, and accepts applications for enrollment in Medicare. Also provides a way to get a replacement of a lost or stolen Medicare card.

Provides a flexible-schedule, flexible-route curb-to-curb service. MyRide is an on-demand travel service that takes multiple passengers heading in the same direction and books them into a shared vehicle.

Provides coordination of educational materials and resource information for the purpose of expanding the knowledge and understanding of the needs of children being raised by caregivers other than their birth parents, to ensure that all people whose lives have been affected by adoption or guardianship have access to quality support services. Coordinates trainings to all post permanence service providers and facilitates conferences that are held annually for professionals and families. Provides an online educational resource library.

Provides new and/or used clothing, and household goods.

Provides free college courses for Vermont Department of Corrections (DOC) staff and Vermonters who are incarcerated, including textbooks and fees.

Provides transportation service to and from areas outside of the Northeast Kingdom and the state, provided the client prepays the negotiated cost of the trip(s). Answers questions related to the individual federal tax return, adjustments to tax accounts, taxes on wages or bank accounts, and IRS letters and notices. Offers option of payment plans if taxpayer cannot pay the full amount owed. Helps with the preparation of a heavy vehicle use tax return. Provides state income tax and related tax forms, schedules, and publications for individuals and corporate and business entities. Website offers free online tax preparation and e-filing Free File software.

Provides a national, toll-free hotline available anywhere in the United States to assist survivors of human trafficking. Assistance provided includes working to develop a safety plan and locating services while being aware of agencies who have limitations in a survivor's area.

Provides syringe exchange services, narcan, safe disposal of syringes, safer sex supplies, harm reduction education, and treatment referrals.
