Provides in-home visitation by a registered nurse to women during pregnancy and following delivery for a mutually agreed upon period of time. Services provided to the family during this time are decided upon in partnership with the family and are particular to each family's needs and desires. Services may include healthy pregnancy information, prenatal nutrition counseling, early childhood development information, parenting education, home safety information, as well as referrals to healthcare, childcare, continuing education, job training, and other community support services.

Callers must first listen to a brief advertisement.

Head Start (ages 3-5) and Early Head Start (ages 0-3) provide high-quality education, healthy meals, medical and dental screenings, and holistic support for the entire family to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. Head Start also connects families to social services and resources for housing, employment, education, food, health, mental health counseling, substance use disorder, domestic violence, English as a Secondary Language, and other family needs. Space is reserved for children with special needs (hearing, speech, vision impairment, emotional or physical challenges). Families with foster children are automatically eligible. A limited number of families that exceed the income guidelines can enroll.

Partners with senior meal sites and senior centers to provide hot, nutritious, noontime meals. Home-delivered meals are often available for those who are unable to reach a meal site because of illness or frailty.

Administers the Vermont Spay-Neuter Incentives Program, which issues vouchers that allow income-eligible Vermonters to have their cats and dogs spayed or neutered for a low co-pay.

Provides advocates trained in special education law and state regulations in both New Hampshire and Vermont regarding IEPs (Individual Education Program) as well as 504 Plans (a section of the 504 Rehabilitation Act of 1973). Provides business counseling and technical assistance to individuals who are starting, expanding, or enhancing a small business. Services include one-to-one technical assistance in business plan development, marketing materials, and financial management.

Provides help to taxpayers who have a tax dispute with the IRS about an audit, tax debt, levy, or lien. Help in understanding letters sent from the IRS. Offers education and outreach events and materials to help taxpayers understand their tax responsibilities get benefits (like the Earned Income Tax Credit) they may qualify for.

Offers adult education and literacy instruction that provide learners with the opportunity to acquire the education and literacy skills they need either to complete a secondary education or to better achieve post-secondary/career goals. Instruction is provided at six learning centers, as well as at job sites, libraries, homes, and other locations. Services include the following: Functional Literacy Education (Reading, Writing, Math), Computer Literacy, Financial Literacy, English Language Learning and Citizenship Preparation, High School Completion Program, General Education Development (GED) Credentialing, and Career and College Readiness.

Provides mediation services through which disputes are resolved with the help of a mediator in an effort to avoid resorting to court intervention. Situations that may benefit from mediation are neighborhood conflicts, landlord/tenant disputes, and student conflicts. Services are also available to community members, community organizations, town officials, schools, and police departments. Approaches vary to fit the circumstances.

Provides confidential support and information. 24-hour hotline. Survivor-directed services may include safety planning, emotional support, assistance in obtaining emergency relief from abuse orders, hospital emergency room support, assistance in finding emergency shelter, advocacy for legal, financial, medical, and housing issues, and community resource referrals.

Promotes and advocates for the economic interests of Vermont business and industry statewide. Also, presents food safety certification training and exams for the food industry, provides a directory of its members, publishes official travel guides for the state of Vermont, and maintains a tourism information website.

Provides community food shelf services. Personal care items may be available depending on donations. Accepts donations during open hours or in outside dropbox.

Administers the Meals on Wheels program. Registers and enrolls eligible individuals for meals and coordinates delivery schedules with volunteers. Meals are fully cooked and delivered refrigerated for reheating. Special diets are accommodated.
