Offers after-school enrichment programs in Brattleboro (serving Brattleboro and Guilford), and in Dummerston. The Y-ASPIRE after-school programs run all 180 days of the school year and include programming on in-service days, parent-teacher days, and school vacation days. Y Day Camp program runs for 8 weeks in summer when school is not in session. Also available are "specialty camps" like mountain biking and adventure camp; a Leader in Training and a Counselor in Training programs.

Provides monthly supplemental nutrition assistance benefits to low-income households to purchase food. Households in which any person is younger than 65 access their benefit using a Vermont Express electronic benefits transfer (EBT) debit card. If everyone in a household is 65 or older, or receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), benefits are deposited as cash into the recipient's bank account. Expedited benefits are available in emergencies and other specific situations. EBT cards may also be used to buy fresh, local products at certain farmers' markets in Vermont. A list of farmer's markets that can accept EBT cards is available on the website. In addition, 3SquaresVT benefits may be used for seeds and plants that grow fruit and vegetables at any retailer or farmer's market that accepts EBT cards.

Provides a process to handle complaints about court staff or court procedures. Court staff include managers, clerks, court officers, court operators, and law clerks.

Provides stable, safe, and sober housing for individuals reentering the community after incarceration. Participants receive case management and ongoing support to assist in successful reentry and long-term independence. Assists with transitioning to permanent housing and offers continued support during early independent living. Participants may also choose to work with a Circle of Support and Accountability (COSA).

Collects new, unwrapped toys in collection bins in various locations throughout the state. The program also accepts monetary donations to pay for additional toys, and for gift cards for older children and teenagers. Toys and gift cards are distributed to local charitable organizations.

Provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient care and 24-hour emergency care. Services include 24-hour physician staffed emergency room services, diagnostic imaging, general medical and surgical services, lab testing, blood supply services, hospital-based outpatient services, disease specific treatment, pain management, adult and children's services.

Provides telephone and face-to-face crisis intervention services for individuals whose emotional distress may range in severity from difficulty in coping with daily stress to the crisis of a psychotic episode. Enhanced Mobile Crisis Services provide rapid mobile response for individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use disorder crisis. A trained 2-person team can meet the individual at home, workplace, or another community setting, providing support and comfort including safety plans, peer support, care coordination and follow up and, if needed, temporary overnight accommodation.

Responds to emergency needs on a case-by-case basis (as funds allow) with financial assistance. Examples of assistance include help with utility bills, including electric, and vouchers for food and gas. The program cannot help with rent expenses.

Provides community food shelf services. Personal care items may be available depending on donations. Also provides the makings of Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, and opportunities for holiday donations and volunteering.

Pays for laundry machine use and provides soap if needed.

Offers regularly scheduled health clinics and health education sessions that MAY include blood pressure screenings, glucose checks, cholesterol checks, flu vaccinations, foot care clinics, and self-management nutrition information sessions. Clinics are offered at local senior centers, senior meal sites, senior housing sites, community centers, or other public spaces. Also provides seasonal flu clinics.

Provides a professionally facilitated, parent-led, mutual self-help support group program. The safe and confidential weekly group meetings provide an opportunity for parents to come together to give and receive support from one another regarding the experiences, challenges, and successes they have been experiencing while raising their children. Provides free Child care. In addition to Circle of Parents groups open to all, there are some for specific needs, including Circle of Parents in Recovery, Circle of Parents Group for Grandparents, Circle of Support for Moms of Color, Circle for Adoptive & Post-Permanent Families.
