Issues Social Security numbers and Social Security cards, as well as replacements for lost or stolen cards for all United States citizens. A Social Security card/number identifies the monthly benefits for individuals who are fully insured. Provides information about and assists with filing for social security benefits. Benefit amounts depend upon date of birth, wages earned, and the type of benefit.

Provides Work Incentives Counselors who can help individuals decide whether to work, keep necessary benefits while they work, and avoid work/benefits conflicts. The program is also available to youth in high school who are in transition to adult life. Youth and their families can receive accurate information about the impact of employment on all Federal and State benefits they receive. Provides the Vermont Work/Benefits Helpline.

Offers a monthly community dinner.

Provides anonymous and confidential needle exchange program that offers clean needles and other drug injection equipment, sharps containers, naloxone, and fentanyl, xylaxine and nitazene test strips. Also provides educational materials and referrals to housing, medical, mental health and medication-assisted treatment and other social services and a food pantry.

Counselors and specialists in 12 district offices work together with an extensive network of partners to help participants assess their interests and skills, explore career options, obtain career-focused training, and secure jobs and career advancement.

Offers in person and telehealth services including: birth control, well-person check ups, sexual health care, STD testing and treatment, pregnancy testing, emergency contraception, cancer screenings, reproductive life planning, HIV testing and prevention, PrEP and PEP, menopause and perimenopause services, transgender health care, hormone therapy, and medication abortion services.

Works with families to address obstacles or challenges regarding housing needs and assists with acquisition of stable housing. Provides support and services to maintain stable housing. This program includes individualized, family-centered case management services.

Centers also offer classes to the public that augment self sufficiency in areas such as home gardening, food preservation, cooking, computer use, chainsaw safety, and more.

Services include primary medical care such as physical health examinations, acute and chronic health screenings, obstetric care, laboratory testing, and birth control counseling. Provides onsite coordinated primary care, mental health services, and substance abuse services to enhance access to appropriate prevention, treatment, recovery and wellness services and activities.
