Head Start (ages 3-5) and Early Head Start (ages 0-3) provide high-quality education, healthy meals, medical and dental screenings, and holistic support for the entire family to prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. Head Start also connects families to social services and resources for housing, employment, education, food, health, mental health counseling, substance use disorder, domestic violence, English as a Secondary Language, and other family needs. Space is reserved for children with special needs (hearing, speech, vision impairment, emotional or physical challenges). Families with foster children are automatically eligible. A limited number of families that exceed the income guidelines can enroll.

Offers in person and telehealth services including: birth control, well-person check ups, sexual health care, STD testing and treatment, pregnancy testing, emergency contraception, cancer screenings, reproductive life planning, HIV testing and prevention, PrEP and PEP, menopause and perimenopause services, transgender health care, hormone therapy, and medication abortion services.

Provides a safe space that is anonymous and confidential where callers can speak on many different issues and concerns including, but not limited to: coming out issues, gender and/or sexuality identities, relationship concerns, bullying, workplace issues, HIV/AIDS anxiety, safer sex information, suicide, and more.

Provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient, and outreach services for individuals with mental illnesses and serious emotional disturbances, and for people with developmental disabilities. Services include case management, rehabilitation, and specialized programs.

Provides emergency housing in a motel or hotel.

Provides free clothing to individuals in need. Participates annually in providing free winter clothing. Types and sizes of winter clothing availability is dependent upon donations received.

Administers the registration and title of all motor vehicles. Issues Vermont license plates. Issues Vermont Driver Licenses, Commercial Driver Licenses, School Bus Driver Licenses, and Motorcycle Driver Licenses. Provides driver training information and issues ID (Non-driver) cards and Learner Permits. Provides school bus driver training information and administers scheduling for driver's license exams. Issues Foreign and International Licenses.

Provides centralized coordination of substance use treatment and recovery services via a statewide, confidential resource information and referral line, an online self-screening tool, and online resource directory for finding substance use treatment facilities and recovery support services. Trained specialists help callers understand the treatment system and their options. Referrals are made to appropriate available resources.

Provides inventory information that helps individuals and organizations donate and exchange usable assistive technology products such as wheelchairs, walking aids, standing aids, toilet aids, and other daily living aids . Maintains a wish list of items that individuals are looking for and assists with coordination of pick-ups as the items become available.

Offers a series of health-related workshops and presentations for the community, many of which are offered by health professionals. Information about local wellness programs is provided on line and is also published in flyer form. Topics include movement and exercise, nutrition, childbirth education, car seat safety, chronic disease self-management, and health/disease specific support group meetings.

Provides a broad selection of recreational opportunities and leisure time activities.

Provides family dentistry services. Comprehensive clinical care services include: preventive, restorative, extractions, crown and bridge, periodontal services, and minor implant restorations.

Pursues the preservation and protection of endangered land resources from indiscriminate development. Partners with local and statewide conservation organizations to conserve Vermont lands for the future. Conservation efforts include acquisition of development rights transferred through conservation easements for Vermont farms, working forest projects, and community projects. Also offers an online directory of conserved land open to the public for recreational trails.

Offers technical assistance on disability rights and policies to individuals with disabilities, as well as to organizations, state agencies, and advocacy groups. Assists with local and statewide education and advocacy on disability issues.

Provides access to low-cost, flexible home ownership mortgage programs for individuals in need of affordable, low-interest mortgage financing. Program also offers a down payment assistance program for eligible first-time home buyers.

Provides assistance to enforce and collect child support payments, obtain a binding child support obligation, locate a non-custodial parent, and establish paternity.

Provides support to disabled American veterans, including assistance with applying for disability benefits, health care, death benefits, vocational rehabilitation and employment, education, discharges, and military records. Also provides transportation to medical appointments.

Provides intensive inpatient and outpatient medical services to treat specific traumatic injuries generally incurred in or around combat. Amputee rehabilitation, brain trauma, case care management, and physical therapy are all included in the medical services.

Provides fast track medical services to individuals who have minor medical problems that do not require complex diagnostic work, including: colds, flu, infections, muscle strains and sprains, cuts, insect stings and bites, rashes and stomach aches. Services include common immunizations, sports and school physicals, lab testing, and x-rays.

Provides a box of food. Box contains a combination of non-perishable food items, government surplus items, juice and cereal.

Provides education and support, including support of individual developmental goals, and transition planning for services after early intervention. Coaches families and early care and education providers around individual child supports.

Outlines a step-by-step approach to advance care planning, including appointment of a health care agent, documentation of health care goals and treatment priorities (living wills), and consideration of medical orders to limit treatment at the end of life. Trainings and presentations are available for health care professionals, health care facilities, and community groups.

Provides intensive wraparound services based on the distinctive needs, strengths, values and preferences of the child and family. Services include clinical case management; comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment; psychiatric consultation and medication management; individual, group and family therapy; substance abuse services; respite, education, community skills training; family reintegration; parent education; 24-hour crisis response; and other individualized services as needed.

Provides screening, diagnostics, and treatment planning services for people who are experiencing acute or chronic psychiatric problems. Offers individual, group, conjoint (couples), and family counseling, therapy groups, medication and other mental health services for community residents, including those who have may be experiencing difficulty resolving personal or interpersonal conflicts or making personal adjustments to stressful life situations.

Provides services to help people remain independent in their own homes. The Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) program's services include friendly visits, transportation to appointments, running errands, and doing small jobs around the house and garden. N2N also sponsors social events that keep people connected.
