KIDS-A-PART | LUND

Offers a variety of services aimed at keeping families connected when a parent is incarcerated, including case management and coordination of family care plans. The program also facilitates opportunities for incarcerated parents to communicate with their children, including individual and group visits in the child-friendly Kids-A-Part visiting space. Case management for families/caregivers in the community include financial support to facilitate visitation. Services also include statewide education and advocacy to community members and groups working with children.

CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER | VERMONT CHILDREN'S ALLIANCE

Provides a safe, accommodating, and child-friendly space for victims, as well as a neutral, non-threatening space for investigators, victim advocates, and prosecutors to interview and meet with victims. Victim advocacy services provide support to assure that victims are supported throughout the entire process. Neutral, non-threatening space is provided for provision of therapy to children and non-offending family members if DCF has substantiated that sexual abuse has occurred. Team members include investigators from Vermont Department for Children and Families, law enforcement officers, victim advocates, prosecutors and medical and mental health professionals. The team also provides community outreach to educate and increase awareness of impact of these crimes on victims.

TAX SCAM AND FRAUD PREVENTION AND REPORTING | INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE

Provides information about preventing tax scams and fraud, as well as identity theft. Offers forms and other methods of reporting these abuses. Provides alerts about tax scams, including an annual "Dirty Dozen" list of common scams. Telephone service is primarily recorded information. Avoid tax fraud: The IRS does not initiate contact with taxpayers by email to request personal or financial information. This includes any type of electronic communication, such as text messages and social media channels. Tax Fraud Hotline offers a recorded message with options to report fraud, including ordering forms by mail.
