CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER | VERMONT CHILDREN'S ALLIANCE
Provides a safe, accommodating, and child-friendly space for victims, as well as a neutral, non-threatening space for investigators, victim advocates, and prosecutors to interview and meet with victims. Victim advocacy services provide support to assure that victims are supported throughout the entire process. Neutral, non-threatening space is provided for provision of therapy to children and non-offending family members if DCF has substantiated that sexual abuse has occurred. Team members include investigators from Vermont Department for Children and Families, law enforcement officers, victim advocates, prosecutors and medical and mental health professionals. The team also provides community outreach to educate and increase awareness of impact of these crimes on victims.

VERMONT CHILDREN'S ALLIANCE
The Vermont Children’s Alliance (VCA) is a non profit organization, operating in partnership with the National Children’s Alliance, that represents all Children Advocacy Centers (CACs) and Unit for Special Investigations (USIs) in Vermont. These are multi-disciplinary task forces providing investigation of sexually based crimes against both adults and children and the serious physical abuse of children, with a goal of assuring that victims are supported throughout the process.
