Oversees complaints of violations of civil law. These include violations of laws regarding traffic, the environment, fish and wildlife, hazing, and minors' possession of alcohol and tobacco. Also includes violations regarding animal control, cruelty to animals, public nuisances, junkyards, recycling, liquor control, non-criminal marijuana violations, health regulation, and zoning. The Judicial Bureau holds hearings at many courthouses throughout Vermont on a rotating basis.
