Working individually with each learner, the teachers build the habits of success and foster a love of learning. Areas of instruction include reading and spelling, math operations and problem solving, writing mechanics, grammar and composition, executive function, and organizational and study skills. Also provides intensive academic interventions for students struggling with a wide range of learning differences, including dyslexia, ADHD, and dyscalculia.

Provides nurses and/or other trained professionals who visit the homes of women during pregnancy and after childbirth to help the women improve their personal health and development during the prenatal period and learn to care for their infant. Services include at-home assessments for expectant mothers and infants, postpartum assessments, newborn evaluations, breastfeeding support, nutrition education, parenting information, family adjustment support, skilled nursing care if needed, and assistance with coordination of family services.

Provides monthly supplemental nutrition assistance benefits to low-income households to purchase food. Households in which any person is younger than 65 access their benefit using a Vermont Express electronic benefits transfer (EBT) debit card. If everyone in a household is 65 or older, or receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), benefits are deposited as cash into the recipient's bank account. Expedited benefits are available in emergencies and other specific situations. EBT cards may also be used to buy fresh, local products at certain farmers' markets in Vermont. A list of farmer's markets that can accept EBT cards is available on the website. In addition, 3SquaresVT benefits may be used for seeds and plants that grow fruit and vegetables at any retailer or farmer's market that accepts EBT cards.

Helps Vermonters with disabilities to find and keep meaningful employment. HireAbility VT works closely with employment specialists at Supported Employment Programs who provide a wide range of services designed to teach necessary skills, help a person transition into a job, and ensure that employers meet the needs of their employees.

Offers help with payment for child care. Support varies according to need.

Provides temporary homes, food, medical, and behavioral care for stray or surrendered animals. Provides adoption services, pet food pantry, low-cost spay/neuter clinics, volunteer, and educational opportunities. Assists low-income owners with vet bills via a no-interest loan program. Also provides a Trap, Neuter, Release program (TNR) that aids farmers and others who willingly care for unowned cats in barns and other outbuildings, by trapping, vaccinating, spaying or neutering, and treating (if necessary), and then returning cat(s) back to their colony (group) in the wild or barn.

Provides used clothing, shoes, household items, kitchen items, office supplies, personal care items, pet supplies, small appliances and lamps, outdoor equipment such as shovels and rakes, and baby items. Accepts donations that are clean and in good condition.

Provides representation to individuals in the custody of the Commissioner of Corrections. Provides representation to juveniles in delinquency proceedings, and to parties in juvenile proceedings including children in need of care and supervision (CHINS) and termination of parental rights cases.
