Trained specialists help callers understand the treatment system and their options. Referrals are made to appropriate available resources.

Maintains a regional listing of in-home assistance providers available to assist seniors with continuing to live independently at home.

Helps families with children by providing case management services that support work, training and education, and cash grants for basic necessities. Reach Up helps with identifying skills, abilities, interests, training or education needs, preparation for work, childcare costs, transportation costs, and work-related costs such as clothing, tools, and supplies. Each person on Reach Up works with a case manager to create a Family Development Plan. Benefits paid through direct deposit or EBT card. Child-Only Reach Up provides cash assistance to help eligible adults care for the minor, dependent children of relatives or family friends. Reach First helps families overcome temporary, short-term financial crises and avoid the need for longer-term assistance, providing case management, financial help, and support services. Reach Ahead helps families transition from Vermont's Reach Up or Post-Secondary Education (PSE) programs to working, with supports to help maintain a job, including cash incentives for working and help paying for car repairs, work clothes, and work supplies, a 100% childcare subsidy, and a cash benefit for food.

Provides volunteers to support and assist individuals who need occasional help to be able to live independently. Assistance includes friendly visiting, errand running, grocery shopping, Meals on Wheels delivery, and transportation to medical appointments. Volunteers do not provide caregiving, laundry, or cleaning services.

Provides down payment zero interest loans towards the purchase of a single-family home and facilitates resales of shared equity homes currently in the program.

HireAbility VT works closely with employment specialists at Supported Employment Programs who provide a wide range of services designed to teach necessary skills, help a person transition into a job, and ensure that employers meet the needs of their employees.

Provides a peer-hosted, mental health crisis respite housing program as an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization. Offers non-clinical treatment and programs in a safe, mutually supportive and empowering environment, with primary emphasis on self-directed healing. Program is voluntary.

Coordinates with other providers in the community to help individuals and families obtain or maintain housing. May offer limited financial assistance with rent, rental deposit, and other payments. Also provides the Rent Right Program, designed to provide participants with the skills, materials, and confidence necessary to find and maintain stable housing. Upon completion of the program, participants receive a Preferred Renter Certificate, which shows landlords that they have made an investment into being a good tenant.
