Provides welcome visits upon the arrival of a new child to the family, including information on community resources, health education and services, safety, and parenting.

Offers a series of health-related workshops and presentations for the community, many of which are offered by health professionals. Information about local wellness programs is provided on line and is also published in flyer form. Topics include movement and exercise, nutrition, childbirth education, car seat safety, chronic disease self-management, and health/disease specific support group meetings.

Provides a crisis intervention and assessment program that includes telephone or face-to-face consultation and assessment for admission to local and/or statewide residential crisis programs. Also provides crisis intervention referral services and follow-up. When deemed warranted by the emergency intervention specialist, individuals may be placed in a Public Inebriate Program bed, a safe alternative to incarceration for individuals who require ongoing supervision during withdrawal from drug and/or alcohol intoxication.

Provides placement in barns of cats who are not able to live as house pets. All cats are spayed or neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, on a flea/tick preventive, and ear-tipped/microchipped prior to adoption.

Increases awareness of disability issues and effects systemic change through legislative and administrative processes. Provides position papers and legislative alerts.

Provides assistance for people who need housing, including information and guidance about rental costs; how to select affordable housing that meets individual needs; and how to provide for insurance, utility costs, and other requirements related to paying for housing. Coordinates with other providers in the community to help individuals and families obtain or maintain housing. May offer limited financial assistance with rent, rental deposit, and other payments. Also provides information on tenant rights and responsibilities.

Issues Social Security numbers and Social Security cards, as well as replacements for lost or stolen cards for all United States citizens. A Social Security card/number identifies the monthly benefits for individuals who are fully insured. Provides information about and assists with filing for social security benefits. Benefit amounts depend upon date of birth, wages earned, and the type of benefit.

Provides syringe exchange services, narcan, safe disposal of syringes, safer sex supplies, harm reduction education, and treatment referrals.

Offers a 12 Step recovery program for individuals who wish to stop the compulsive behavior of drinking. Also provides information about dates, times, and locations of meetings.

Facilitates professional case management for individuals in need of mental health or substance abuse services. Services are provided in the privacy of their homes and both individual and family counseling are available.

Provides safe, confidential, temporary emergency shelter and supportive services.

Offers apprenticeships in the following areas: Certified Public Bookkeeper, Manufacturing Production Technician, Medical Assisting, Medical Records Assistant, and Pharmacy Technician. All offerings pair credit-bearing classes with on-the-job learning.

Provides supplemental food for families with young children. WIC also provides breastfeeding support and nutrition education. Participants can get Farm to Family coupons to use at local farmers' markets.

Promotes volunteerism and assists with finding volunteer opportunities in the community. During times of regional disasters or emergencies provides information intended to help everyone in their communities get to the resources they need quickly and efficiently.

Provides consumers with a federally mandated, free credit report annually, as well as fraud and identity theft services, and free credit marketing list removal (OptOut). Also offers a way to dispute information in a credit report.

Provides confidential services including caring support, peer counseling, and information on the different stages throughout pregnancy. Services provided reflect a faith-based approach to pregnancy, parenting, and relationships.

Provides individual and family health care through natural practices and treatments. Services include naturopathic medicine, physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, feldenkrais, and chiropractic care. Primary care is limited to people who live within one hour from Westminster, Vermont.

Provides a support and educational program engaging families from pregnancy up through the early postpartum months who have been identified as being at risk for postpartum mood disorders (PPMDs). Focus is on normalizing and building awareness of PPMDs while using assessment tools for early detection. While partnering with other community mental health and support services, Healthy Families From the Start helps to facilitate a continuum of care during the early months with a new baby.

Provides occasional nursing and rehabilitative therapies in the patient's home. Skilled Nursing Services include nursing care, case management, and client and family education. Provides clients with social workers who offer coordination of community services and resources, client and family counseling, and navigating the health care system. Licensed Nursing Assistants provide home health assistance, including personal care assistance, light housekeeping, and help with normal daily living activities.

Provides a program for youth ages 10-12. Tween Group is free and snacks are provided. It will have a mix of open social time and engaging youth-led activities - giving space for both spontaneous fun and intentional connection.
