They might assist with grocery shopping, bill paying, and transportation to medical appointments, and alert doctors and family members to potential problems. Senior Companions also provide short periods of relief to primary caregivers.

Helps families with children by providing case management services that support work, training and education, and cash grants for basic necessities. Reach Up helps with identifying skills, abilities, interests, training or education needs, preparation for work, childcare costs, transportation costs, and work-related costs such as clothing, tools, and supplies. Each person on Reach Up works with a case manager to create a Family Development Plan. Benefits paid through direct deposit or EBT card. Child-Only Reach Up provides cash assistance to help eligible adults care for the minor, dependent children of relatives or family friends. Reach First helps families overcome temporary, short-term financial crises and avoid the need for longer-term assistance, providing case management, financial help, and support services. Reach Ahead helps families transition from Vermont's Reach Up or Post-Secondary Education (PSE) programs to working, with supports to help maintain a job, including cash incentives for working and help paying for car repairs, work clothes, and work supplies, a 100% childcare subsidy, and a cash benefit for food.

Provides business counseling and technical assistance to individuals who are starting, expanding, or enhancing a small business. Services include one-on-one technical assistance in business plan development, marketing materials, and financial management.

Provides confidential services including caring support, peer counseling, and information on the different stages throughout pregnancy. Services provided reflect a faith-based approach to pregnancy, parenting, and relationships.

Offers individualized academic tutoring in English Language Learning (ELL), U.S. Citizenship test preparation, literacy and other subject skills (math, college support) for adult students. Also provides classes and programs in personal growth and self development.

Offers a series of health-related workshops and presentations for the community, many of which are offered by health professionals. Information about local wellness programs is provided on line and is also published in flyer form. Topics may include movement and exercise, nutrition, childbirth education, chronic disease self-management, and health/disease specific support group meetings.

Provides a visor card to help individuals who are Deaf or hard of hearing communicate with law enforcement officers if they are pulled over while driving. There are tips for how officers should communicate with the cardholder, followed by options that cardholders can point to indicating how best to communicate (writing, texting, lip-reading, etc.) with them. On the back, there are graphics with one-word labels that officers can point to under “I need to see your” (license, registration, insurance, other) and “Violations.” The last section is “Help” and lists options for cardholders to show the officer what they need (medical, lost, tow, etc.).

Offers free assistance to park residents for a wide range of services. Services include assistance with the sale or closure of tenant's park, lot rent increase, habitability issues, and help forming or revitalizing a resident association. Also offers information about the laws affecting parks and help developing a strategy to deal with a complicated park problem. Provides public education about mobile home parks. Advocates for the development of programs and services for park residents, and provides workshops and training on various mobile home park issues.

Offers alternative arrangements for repayment of student loans under specified circumstances when borrowers are having trouble making their regular payments. Offers a student loan forgiveness/cancellation program providing specific terms for cancellation of all or some portion of federal student loan balances.

Provides discounted Internet service for families, students, and other individuals living in the service districts who meet eligibility requirements.

Provides a voluntary, confidential alternative to the regular court process, which allows selected offenders the opportunity to take responsibility for their actions and make amends to victims and to the community. The offender meets before a Community Review Board that creates an individualized contract. The contract attempts to repair the harm done to the community and the victim. Upon completion of the contract, the charge is dismissed. Two years later the record is sealed.

Works with households to resolve emergencies involving home heat and electrical disconnection notices using programs and funds available and helping with applications. Electric heat assistance is limited to households with primary heat source of electricity or electricity that is essential to keeping other types of heating systems operational. The Wood Warms Program provides two free cords of wood to eligible households that heat entirely with wood or that supplement their primary heat source by burning wood.

Provides preventive health care, as well as diagnosis and treatment of illness in children, adolescents and adults. Services include primary medical care such as physical health examinations, acute and chronic health screenings, obstetric care, laboratory testing, and birth control counseling. Programs for health maintenance and public education services are also offered.

Provides restorative panels and restitution case management to children and youth who have been adjudicated in family court. Restorative justice panels hold youth accountable to victims and their community. Case Managers provide follow-up services to assure that restorative conditions of probation are completed. Program also provides young offenders with an opportunity to learn new skills and participate in a variety of community service activities.

Provides an educational series designed to help family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a relative or friend. Skilled trainers provide lessons on reducing stress, communicating effectively with others, reducing guilt/anger/depression, setting goals, problem-solving and taking care of oneself.
