GREEN MOUNTAIN ADAPTIVE SPORTS | GREEN MOUNTAIN ADAPTIVE SPORTS

Provides scholarships to access sports and recreation programs offered through its partner organizations. Funds activities such as skiing and snowboarding lessons, race participation fees, season/day passes at Stowe Mountain Resort, Nordic skiing at Craftsbury Outdoor Center, as well as swimming lessons, indoor rock climbing, movement classes, kayaking, and paddleboard lessons. Also provides grants to support advanced training for adaptive coaches affiliated with partner organizations. Program fees vary.

Acts as fiscal agent and provides services such as fiscal sponsorship, publicity, meeting space, and more to small social justice organizations whose missions align with that of the Peace & Justice Center (PJC). Must sign contract with PJC and have PJC Board of Directors' approval. Appointment can take place via phone.

Offers apprenticeship programs for early childhood educators in order to gain education and experience in the field. Also offers pre-apprenticeship programs, which combine classroom-based learning and on-the-job learning, for high school students interested in a career in early childhood education. Apprentices work at least 30 hours per week and the program typically takes about two years to complete.
