Provides coordination of educational materials and resource information for the purpose of expanding the knowledge and understanding of the needs of children being raised by other than their birth parents, to ensure that all people whose lives have been touched by adoption or guardianship have access to quality support services. Coordinates trainings to all post permanence service providers and facilitates conferences that are held annually for professionals and families. Provides an online educational resource library.

VERMONT CONSORTIUM FOR ADOPTION AND GUARDIANSHIP

The Vermont Consortium for Adoption and Guardianship is a non-profit membership organization that works collaboratively to further the knowledge and understanding of the needs of children and youth being raised by someone other than their birth parents. Representatives from each agency work with one another to ensure that all people whose lives are touched by adoption or guardianship have access to quality support services throughout Vermont. Services to families and professionals include a resource information website, a lending library, a newsletter, and trainings for professionals and families.
