Provides no interest, forgivable loans of up to $30,000 to make necessary improvements on farm worker housing in order to eliminate health, safety and/or accessibility issues. Typical health and safety related repairs/improvements can include, but are not limited to: wastewater systems, air sealing and insulation, noise mitigation measures, overcrowding relief, food prep and storage improvements, mold remediation, electrical/plumbing upgrades, and roof replacements.

The program also helps teens with transitioning out of high school into adult life. Also offers a summer camp program. Parents receive information about helpful resources and literature, as well as answers to questions concerning their child's growth and development. Educators can obtain textbooks in Braille or in large print.

Teaches how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. Provides the skills needed to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and helps connect them to the appropriate care. Also includes information about mental health crises and risks for suicide. Separate courses are geared to different audiences: Mental Health First Aid is for adults, such as first responders, faith leaders, and caring adults; Youth Mental Health First Aid is for adults working with youth; and Teen Mental Health First Aid for high school students and youth-serving organizations.

Provides farmers with opportunities to purchase or lease affordable farmland so that they can start up or expand agricultural businesses. Helps conserve farmland for long-term productive use.

Provide grants or support for activities that provide services for the long-term care of veterans, aid homeless veterans, provide transportation services for veterans, fund veterans' service programs, and/or provide veteran recognition.

Offers help with signing up for Medicaid, RRMC Free Care, and YOU First. Patients may get help with over-the-counter and prescription medications.

Provides a crisis intervention program that offers face-to-face recovery coaching to individuals incarcerated at the Southern State Correctional Facility (SSCF) Also provides recovery support to people who have just been released and those on probation or parole.

Offers a variety of wellness and exercise programs that help to reduce stress, develop greater stamina, increase strength and flexibility, improve balance and/or strengthen bones. Programs may include T'ai Chi, light weight workouts, and seated exercise programs.

Provides a suicide prevention and crisis intervention support service.

Provides an online tool that enables people to fill out and print a personalized wallet-sized medication card that documents prescriptions, dosages and other important medical information. This program makes it easier to refill prescriptions if individuals have to leave their homes after a disaster.

Provides essential legal services for survivors of gender-based violence who need legal support with immigration and/or family law. Legal services include assistance in divorce and parenting matters for survivors, consultations to assess an individual's eligibility for humanitarian immigration status or for other benefits under U.S. immigration law and provides legal assistance to eligible survivors. The law protects migrants who are victims of domestic violence/ sexual assault crimes including human trafficking, or who have suffered persecution before fleeing their home country. Services also include direct advice and referrals to individuals and organizations. They also offers workshops for entities that have contact with immigrants, such as medical centers and health clinics, public school English Language Learning educators, law enforcement, and social service providers.

Provides comprehensive lead poisoning prevention information, resources, and technical assistance to parents and caregivers.

Offers free playgroups, walks, and support groups. Sleep Support Baby Playgroup is a monthly free sleep support gathering and playgroup led by a postpartum doula and certified pediatric sleep consultant.

Offers choice of a 15-hour educational course (over 2 days) or 4-hour seminar for mental health care providers. Course/seminar is taught by a trained peer, a family member, and a provider with lived experience related to mental health conditions.

Provides confidential support and resources to youth and young adults with concerns about their own or a friend’s sexual safety, sexual thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Provides confidential consultations by trained professional case managers who can provide assistance with planning and arranging for support services. Assessments are provided both in home or pre-dismissal from hospitals or rehabilitation centers to determine eligibility for a variety of programs including Medicaid, SSI, food stamps, fuel assistance, housing, transportation, state pharmacy assistance programs, Lifeline telephone credit, respite and in-home services. Provides assistance with filling out forms for submission. Case managers also work with the VA in assisting veterans with applying for the Veterans Independence Program.

Provides support and advocacy to individuals who have been, or are, involved with the Vermont Department for Children and Families (DCF). Services include phone calls, attending meetings, connecting to resources, and assistance with communication efforts with DCF. Offers a peer led support group and volunteer opportunities.

Provides community food shelf services. Personal care items may be available depending on donations. Individuals pick out food based on household size. Also provides Thanksgiving turkeys. Delivery service is available for individuals who are unable to get to the food shelf in person.

Provides education and technical assistance geared to the needs of women farmers at all stages of their careers. Through a series of educational, technical assistance, and networking opportunities, works to increase the number of women owning and operating profitable farms and ag-related businesses, as well as their profile in leadership positions throughout the agricultural sectors of business, government, and community.

Offers a recovery program for individuals who struggle with substance use. Provides an opportunity to meet other individuals who are working hard to stop using substances and support each other as parents. The program offers the opportunity to form close relationships with peers and recovery coaches that can support them in developing a healthy lifestyle that is rewarding and free from substance use.

Provides legal representation to juvenile clients in a variety of settings, including administrative hearings at the juvenile detention center and case plan review meetings.
