Offers curriculum-based programs that work with the entire family throughout childhood and into teen years. Teaches parents how to understand their children's developmental needs and behaviors, positively communicate with their children, preventing child sexual abuse, and managing their stress.

Provides a voluntary program for youth who have received a civil violation for underage drinking or possession of alcohol, or a civil violation for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, or for possession of 224mg or less of buprenorphine. The program consists of a substance abuse assessment, screening, an education program, and community service. Once YSASP clients successfully complete the program, their civil violation is voided.

Provides legal advice or representation for Vermonters who have a civil legal problem. Areas of priority include: housing, relief from abuse, financial exploitation, victim’s rights, Social Security, Medicaid, and protection of personal autonomy. Represents Medicare beneficiaries who also receive Medicaid in Medicare appeals concerning home health services, durable medical equipment, nursing care and prescription drug coverage.

Provides flexibly scheduled and routed door-to-door (or curb-to-curb) transportation services. Coordinates and provides non-emergency medical transportation to health and wellness appointments. Offers transportation for individuals in recovery to support groups, job training and access, medication-assisted treatment, recovery centers, drug testing, and other services. Provides opportunities for volunteer drivers.

Provides a variety of core services in the communities it serves, including emergency support and assistance for low-income families and individuals in crisis. Other services include problem-solving support, assistance with applications for benefits, applying for ID cards, employment goal-setting, budget counseling, tenant-landlord mediation, housing assistance, emergency food services, and emergency assistance with other basic needs such as utility payment assistance.

Provides assistance for people who need housing including information and guidance about rental costs; how to select affordable housing that meets individual needs; and how to provide for insurance, utility costs, and other requirements related to paying for housing. Coordinates with other providers in the community to help individuals and families obtain or maintain housing. May offer limited financial assistance with rent, rental deposit, and other payments. Also provides the Rent Right Program, designed to provide participants with the skills, materials, and confidence necessary to find and maintain stable housing. Upon completion of the program, participants receive a Preferred Renter Certificate, which shows landlords that they have made an investment into being a good tenant.

Provides youth employment services that include vocational testing and assessment to help identify skills, talents and experience; career guidance to help plan and map out a career strategy; tutoring and study skills training; summer employment opportunities; paid work experience including internships and job shadowing; leadership development opportunities; and support services to help overcome employment barriers.

Facilitates professional case management for individuals in need of mental health or substance abuse services. Services are provided in the privacy of their homes and both individual and family counseling are available.

Provides tax information and assistance with tax filing preparation and e-filing of federal and state income tax returns, as well as assistance with filing for renters' rebates and homestead declarations at three locations. Also provides services for those filing basic self-employment returns (sole proprietors who do not carry inventory or depreciation). Home-based assistance with renters' rebates is available for people who are homebound.

Issues Social Security numbers and Social Security cards, as well as replacements for lost or stolen cards for all United States citizens. A Social Security card/number identifies the monthly benefits for individuals who are fully insured. Provides information about and assists with filing for social security benefits. Benefit amounts depend upon date of birth, wages earned, and the type of benefit.

Provides shelter for animals who have been abandoned, abused or surrendered by their owners. Services include animal adoption, pet food pantry, spay/neuter services, community education about pet care, and reporting of cruelty and neglect of animals to local authorities.

Offers comprehensive clinical care and prevention services. Services include dental hygiene, extractions, X-rays, crowns and bridges.

Provides individuals with a one time benefit of $120 for each eligible child to be able to purchase food during the summer.
