An online nutrition education series, Eat Smart, Move More, is also offered and participants can access lessons at their own pace while receiving one-on-one support from their closest EFNEP Educator via phone calls, zoom meetings, and emails. Topics covered may include meal planning and preparation, food budgeting with a limited income, food safety and preservation, and nutrition tips.

Provides volunteer opportunities for individuals to serve one-on-one with frail elderly and other homebound persons who have difficulty completing everyday tasks. They might assist with grocery shopping, bill paying, and transportation to medical appointments, and alert doctors and family members to potential problems. Senior Companions also provide short periods of relief to primary caregivers.

Supports the professional growth of nonprofit professionals by organizing certificate programs, webinars, convenings, and workshops. Provides a job resource board of staff openings at non-profits.

Provides appointment scheduling for virtual assistance for 70 VITA sites, including some along the Vermont-New Hampshire border. Sites provide tax-filing assistance for state and federal income tax forms, renter rebates, earned income credit, and property tax paperwork through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program.

Provides financial assistance to help Green Mountain Power (GMP) customers pay their bill when they have received a disconnect notice. Part of the bill will be paid by the program, and payment arrangements will be made for the balance.

Supports the successful re-entry into the community of people released from incarceration through Circles of Support and Accountability (COSAs). COSAs are made up of citizen volunteers who work with participants to help them learn to manage the challenges of everyday life, be accountable for their actions and become responsible community members. Volunteer coordinators may help establish links to employment, housing, transportation, and benefit programs.

Provides preventive health care, as well as diagnosis and treatment of adolescents and adults. Services include primary medical care such as physical health examinations, acute and chronic health screenings. Programs for health maintenance and public education services are also offered.

Provides supplemental food for families with young children. WIC also provides breastfeeding support and nutrition education. Participants can get Farm to Family coupons to use at local farmers' markets.

Provides information about climate change and health. Cold weather topics include shoveling and heart attacks, what to do if the power goes out, and wood stove safety. Hot weather topics include heat safety tips and heat illnesses. Also provides a searchable map of indoor cooling centers.

Provides safety information regarding smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and fireworks.

Offers regularly scheduled health clinics and health education sessions that MAY include blood pressure screenings, glucose checks, cholesterol checks, flu vaccinations, foot care clinics, and self-management nutrition information sessions. Clinics are offered at local senior centers, senior meal sites, senior housing sites, community centers, or other public spaces. Also provides seasonal flu clinics.

Provides scholarships to access sports and recreation programs offered through its partner organizations. Funds activities such as skiing and snowboarding lessons, race participation fees, season/day passes at Stowe Mountain Resort, Nordic skiing at Craftsbury Outdoor Center, as well as swimming lessons, indoor rock climbing, movement classes, kayaking, and paddleboard lessons. Also provides grants to support advanced training for adaptive coaches affiliated with partner organizations.

Collects quality food from food retailers, manufacturers, distributors, farmers, and community donors and then distributes that food to network partners, which include food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and senior centers.
