HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM | CVOEO
Provides assistance for people who need housing including information and guidance about rental costs; how to select affordable housing that meets individual needs; and how to provide for insurance, utility costs, and other requirements related to paying for housing. Coordinates with other providers in the community to help individuals and families obtain or maintain housing. May offer limited financial assistance with rent, rental deposit, and other payments. Also provides the Rent Right Program, designed to provide participants with the skills, materials, and confidence necessary to find and maintain stable housing. Upon completion of the program, participants receive a Preferred Renter Certificate, which shows landlords that they have made an investment into being a good tenant. Does not help participants search for housing.

Legal services include assistance in divorce and parenting matters for survivors, consultations to assess an individual's eligibility for humanitarian immigration status or for other benefits under U.S. immigration law and provides legal assistance to eligible survivors. The law protects migrants who are victims of domestic violence/ sexual assault crimes including human trafficking, or who have suffered persecution before fleeing their home country. Services also include direct advice and referrals to individuals and organizations. They also offers workshops for entities that have contact with immigrants, such as medical centers and health clinics, public school English Language Learning educators, law enforcement, and social service providers.
