Conservation efforts include acquisition of development rights transferred through conservation easements for Vermont farms, working forest projects, and community projects. Also offers an online directory of conserved land open to the public for recreational trails. Staff can meet with interested landowners to explain possible tax benefits and to discuss possible methods for conserving his/her land permanently.
