Provides resources, advice, and training for responding to animal needs in the event of a disaster. The Guardian Angels DART (GADART) is not legally affiliated with VDART but works in cooperation with the group, covering Franklin and Orleans Counties. Pet owners are encouraged to communicate with their local emergency manager via the Town Clerk for guidance on local response plans.

Provides funding to recoup a portion of net uncovered physical damages to buildings, improvements, inventory, machinery and equipment due to flooding dating back to July 7, 2023 and the July 2024 flooding events. Businesses must intend to re-open and bring employees back to work. If first time applying in the system, create an account. Visit website for full list of documentation required for applications. Applicants from previous funding may be eligibile for current funding. Separate applications required per flooding event.
Coordinates monetary donation and funding response that supports Vermont farmers recovering from the flooding across the state in 2024. Funds will be allocated to all participating Intervale farms. Donate via the Intervale website.

Provides an emergency loan program for people whose farms or food production businesses have suffered a devastating loss due to natural disaster. In the wake of the 2023 flood, VFF has raised its Emergency Loan maximum amount from $10,000 to $15,000. This is a zero-interest loan payable over 36-48 months, with an option to defer payments for up to 12 months.

Offers many funding options as well as two types of low interest loans for damages as a result of a Federally declared disaster. The Business Disaster Loan can be used for physical damages and necessary structural improvements.
Provides support to those who have experienced home and/or property damage from the July 2024 flood event and need financial assistance. Individual households may apply for up to $1,500. Whenever possible, payment will be made to a third-party vendor, contractor, etc., to partially or wholly cover repair costs. Payments may be made directly to individuals at the discretion of the Steering Committee.
Provides a range of support services to those impacted by flooding or other natural disasters. Some services include outreach and information on individual flood recovery, financial assistance, and navigation through state and federal application processes.

Provides grants for household or business expenses related to the July 2024 flooding. Grant amount to be determined. Only one application per household or business will be accepted. Decisions will be made within 30 days.There are no restrictions on the use of funding, though applicants will be asked to share details of their household’s financial situation, other forms of assistance solicited and received, and recovery plan when completing an application.

Supports housing stability for Vermont mobile home residents impacted by floodin, by providing flexible funding for essential goods and utilities. The Fund aims to alleviate immediate hardships and aid long-term recovery. Additional funding may be available to families with young children and those who meet other criteria The Park Flooding Recovery Assistance Fund offers financial aid from a base amount per household composition ($300 for 2+ adults’ households and $150 for single individuals). Additional funding depends on the presence of children under 6 in the household, housing status (homeless/displaced), and other vulnerability factors (disability and chronic health issues).
Offers disaster preparedness information, and emergency assistance and recovery information for farmers in the recovery phase of natural disasters, and farm-related information regarding water contamination and pesticide exposure. Hotlines may be set up during specific disaster situations and links would be posted in this program. Also provides business disaster loan information for farmers and other agricultural business operators.

Helps income-eligible Vermonters with costs related to replacing home heating systems, water heating systems, and other home appliances damaged or destroyed by the floods. Also provides rebates to upgrade home electric panels to accommodate cold climate heat pumps and additional electrification efforts. Reimbursements for eligible purchases retroactive to July 10, 2023. Also provides financial support to businesses and rental-property owners with replacing flood damaged appliances. Purchases that may be covered: Home heating and cooling systems, including ducted and ductless heat pumps, central wood pellet systems, wood/pellet stoves, and qualifying ENERGY STAR-rated boilers and furnaces; Heat pump hot water systems and ENERGY STAR-rated hot water systems ;ENERGY STAR-rated replacement appliances like refrigerators, freezers, clothes washers and dryers (including heat pump dryers), window air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and air purifiers.
Provides organic farmers with cash flow needed in times of an emergency. Farmers may request up to $5,000 in grants that do not need to be repaid. (This grant maximum is a temporary increase due to the flooding disaster.) Support with grant application available. The fund may be used to help replace infrastructure (for example greenhouse, barn, fencing), seed, feed, livestock, equipment and other losses caused by the disaster. It can be used to help pay outstanding farm-related bills and immediate needs (loan and mortgage repayments, etc). The fund is NOT an alternative to insurance and does NOT cover losses that are covered by a successful insurance claim or losses covered by other sources. The fund may NOT be used to cover projected income from crops lost from the disaster.
