Provides financial assistance of up to $1500 to individuals impacted by the July 2024 flooding event. Only one application per household will be accepted. Applications due by August 3, 2024 and decisions will be made within 30 days. There are no restrictions on the use of funding, though applicants will be asked to share details of their household’s financial situation, other forms of assistance solicited and received, and household size.

Helps coordinate philanthropic response after disasters by supporting Vermonters in responding to and recovering from the flooding across Vermont in 2024. Works with state, federal, municipal, public health, and nonprofit leadership, to provide flexible resources to nonprofits working to address the most immediate public health and economic impacts of the flood.

Develops partnerships, coordinates volunteers, and offers program initiatives that address specific issues in education, income, and health. This includes the areas of financial stability, financial literacy, individual nutritional and physical well being, early learning, addiction prevention, and supporting the basic needs of housing, food, and accessibility in service communities. The United Way of Northwest Vermont initiates fund raising designed to help the communities it serves in a critical time of need. All funds are used to support organizations and people in United Way of Northwest Vermont service area.

Provides clean up, support with applications such as FEMA or other sources, financial resources to those impacted by the flood, and volunteer opportunities.

The Fund will provide grants in the range of $2,500-$10,000 to cover costs such as equipment replacement, supplies and help with clean-up. Contributions can be made on behalf of Vermont Main Street Flood Recovery Fund to Capstone Community Action via a link at the website.

Provides a range of support services to those impacted by flooding or other natural disasters. Some services include outreach and information on individual flood recovery, financial assistance, and navigation through state and federal application processes.

Provides case management, clean up, donation matching, financial resources, home repair, and rebuilding assistance to those impacted by the flood, and volunteer opportunities.

Coordinates monetary donation and funding response that supports Vermont farmers recovering from the flooding across the state in 2024. Funds will be allocated to all participating Intervale farms. Donate via the Intervale website.

Provides resources, advice, and training for responding to animal needs in the event of a disaster. Other DARTS in Vermont include Rutland Area Disaster Animal Response Team (RADART), and Guardian Angels DART (GADART), which are not formally affiliated with VDART. Pet owners are encouraged to communicate with their local emergency manager via the Town Clerk for guidance on local response plans.
