WARMING CENTER | CAVENDISH BAPTIST CHURCH

Provides a warm place for people in need due to extreme cold temperatures. This is not a shelter. If individuals are in need of a warm place to be, they can call the church office and the church will make arrangements.

Provides a weekday warming and drop in center. Offers a hot breakfast and snacks, as well as meals to go. Also provides supplies such as clothing and hygiene products, plus referrals to housing/emergency housing resources and other services, as well as interim case management. Accepts clothing donations in good condition. Allows well-behaved pets. Temporarily located at 184 Pearl Street

Provides warm overnight shelter during the cold months where guests are able to stay during the day. Allows well-behaved pets.

RUTLAND NEIGHBORS | RUTLAND UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Provides a free resting place where individuals can escape the elements and have a nutritious meal. Also includes a small emergency food pantry and a clothing closet with winter jackets, sweatshirts, gloves, boots, scarves, hats, and socks. Also provides a warming center and a cooling center depending on extreme weather. They provide a Thanksgiving and Christmas Meal. Meal is served at 10:30am

Provides a place for people to go in extreme temperatures. Located at the Fire Department on 10 Hazen Street in Norwich Vermont.

TIM'S HOUSE | SAMARITAN HOUSE

Provides temporary emergency shelter and supportive services. Drop-In Center open during administrative hours with access to laundry machines, showers, hygiene products, phone/computer and a temperature-controlled environment. Additional shelter services and hours are available depending on extreme weather and staffing. Allows well-behaved pets. Each room is private. Pets are welcome at the shelter. There is no maximum length of stay for shelter guests. The shelter lobby is also available as a warming center regardless of extreme weather during regular administrative hours.

EMERGENCY SHELTER | SAINT JOHNSBURY SHELTER AT MOOSE RIVER

Provides year-round shelter to single adults experiencing homelessness, as well as on-site services such as shower and laundry facilities for guests. Dinner and a grab and go breakfast are provided; pets are accepted on a case by case basis. During the day can be utilized as a warming center on cold temperature days.

Provides a warm, dry place for people in need due to power outages, flooding, or extreme cold temperatures.

WINDSOR RESOURCE CENTER | MOUNT ASCUTNEY HOSPITAL AND HEALTH CENTER

Connects individuals to a wide variety of social and state agency services and assists individuals with accessing services and financial assistance. Also provides office space from which social services agencies and state agencies can provide direct services, as well as public meeting spaces, public access to computers, a free Giving Room clothing closet, small food pantry, and a Promise Room which provides space for prevention initiatives. They offer space as a cooling center in the summer and a warming center in the winter. Year round laundry and shower facilities are also available. Items in the Giving Room clothing closet can include: clothing of all sizes, winter coats, hats and mittens/gloves, shoes/boots, small bags, books, puzzles, and some personal hygiene items. Call ahead to donate clothing. Because it is a small space, they can only accept donations if there is room.
