USDA RURAL BUSINESS PROGRAMS | UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE - RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Provides loans and/or grants to municipalities, businesses and nonprofit organizations to assist eligible business enterprises. Programs include the Business Development Grant Program, which supports targeted technical assistance, training, and other activities leading to the development or expansion of small and emerging private businesses in rural areas with under 50 employees; the Value Added Producer Program, which helps agricultural businesses and producers expand into new markets and develop new products; and the Rural Energy for America Program, in which rural businesses and agricultural producers are eligible to apply for either energy efficiency or renewable energy project funding. The Vermont Rural Development Montpelier Office is closed until further notice as a result of the July 2023 flood damage. In Person visits are not available at this time.
