EDUCATION AND TRAINING | VERMONT CONSORTIUM FOR ADOPTION AND GUARDIANSHIP
Provides coordination of educational materials and resource information for the purpose of expanding the knowledge and understanding of the needs of children being raised by caregivers other than their birth parents, to ensure that all people whose lives have been affected by adoption or guardianship have access to quality support services. Coordinates trainings to all post permanence service providers and facilitates conferences that are held annually for professionals and families. Provides an online educational resource library.

Provides a range of programs for fathers, including drop-on to connect with other dads or get support from staff while enjoying coffee and snacks (Dads' Drop-in), a playgroup and dinner for dads and their children (Dads' Night), and individualized case management to help fathers work towards goals around parenting, getting basic needs met, and navigating systems (Dads Matter Case Management).

FATHERS AND CHILDREN TOGETHER (FACT) PROGRAM | JANET S MUNT FAMILY ROOM
Provides a play-based program that allows dads and kids to spend time together while offering parent education and support. Offers a free hot meal and opportunities to learn new skills to help them achieve their goals as fathers. Dads can learn new ways to manage stress and take care of themselves, or just come and spend time with their child. Child care is available.

FAMILY PLAY PROGRAMS | JANET S MUNT FAMILY ROOM
Provides drop-in parent-child interactive play programs with parent education and support, including Family Play Program with ESL classes for caregivers, projects to promote cross-cultural relationships, and a summer gardening/outdoor education component. Others include Early Months, for mothers and babies during the first few months after birth and Crawlers, Waddlers & Toddlers, for parents and early toddlers. Parenting classes are periodically offered. Additional workshops for adults also are available, including occasional computer literacy classes. Provides snacks and lunch. Workshops for adults include cooking, movement, and book group. Special activities for children include sing-a-longs, story time, nature play, sandbox, and movement. The Family Room also provides a preschool during the school year.
