Marlboro Cares can also make referrals to other agencies, and offers educational programs on occasion. Ride requests require 48-hour notice; All other requests should be scheduled as far ahead as possible to ensure adequate response. Short notice of need will be met with every effort to help.

Barnard Helping Hands in partnership with Barnard General Store maintains a food collection box to support Woodstock Community Food Shelf. They also work closely with the Hub in Woodstock, the Ottauquechee Health Foundation and the Woodstock Thomspon Senior Center.

Provides volunteer drivers to assist with transportation to needed services such as medical, dental, grocery shopping, senior meal sites, court dates, housing appointments, etc. This service is not a formal transportation service and provision of rides is dependent upon volunteer driver availability. One week advance notice appreciated for a ride request.

The Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) program's services include friendly visits, transportation to appointments, running errands, and doing small jobs around the house and garden. N2N also sponsors social events that keep people connected. Program does NOT provide any medical or financial assistance. Office is located on the first floor of the First Congregational Church building in Manchester.

Provides matches of older homebound veterans with younger or more mobile veterans from any branch of the military service for companionship and support. Can offer visiting and friendship, telephone reassurance, help with forms & correspondence, and other activities. Provided in partnership with Brattleboro American Legion Post 5.
