Provides annual veterinary wellness checks, monthly supplemental pet food, flea and tick preventive treatment, and dewormer. Pet CORE uses a reduced fee schedule for other services, such as spay/neuter costs for cats and dogs.
Provides low-cost preventive veterinary care services to pets for owners in need. Offers low-cost spay/neuter clinics and a separate low-cost wellness clinic, which also may provide vaccines, flea/tick treatment, de-wormer, microchips, and other services. The Wellness Clinic is located at 57 North Champlain Street in Burlington. The Spay/Neuter Clinic is located at 142 Kindness Court in South Burlington. Reduced pricing options are available for community members with limited income (income guidelines listed at hsccvt.org/clinic). The Community Pet Clinic is not a full service veterinary clinic and cannot provide care for emergency situations.

Provides walk-in clinic designed to provide access to basic preventative services for dogs and cats, including immunizations and physical exams. Dogs must be on a leash/in a carrier; cats must be in a carrier. Pet owners seeking a 3-year rabies vaccine must provide proof of a previous valid rabies certificate. Animals 3+ months who have never received a rabies vaccine are eligible to receive a 1-year rabies vaccine. Limit 3 pets per household per clinic. Please reach out if an exception is needed.
Provides pet care assistance for households that are struggling to provide adequate care for their companion animals. Provides basic veterinary care on a sliding scale, including flea/tick treatments, wormer, and non-prescription items. Also offers a pet food pantry and free supplies. Pre-pay is required. Payment assistance plans are available. Assistance is provided based on an agreement to work with WCHS to have all family pets spayed or neutered, and to not acquire any more pets while receiving assistance.
