The Office of the Health Care Advocate has a tax attorney on staff to assist individuals with tax filing questions and issues, but does NOT provide assistance with actual filing of returns. This program also recommends needed health care policy changes to the Legislature and administrative agencies.

Provides low-cost or free health care for adults. Vermont Medicaid includes doctor visits, hospital care, prescriptions, vision, and some dental care. Also covers long-term care in a nursing home or at home, and physical therapy. Medicaid for the Aged, Blind, or Disabled (MABD) is also available. Assists Vermonters in enrolling in (and answers questions about) Medicaid and MABD. The member services line can help with filling out the application.

Provides non-urgent health care. Includes exams, nutrition counseling, and mental health counseling. Women's health care services provided through partner providers in nearby locations. Also included are acute illness care, chronic care management, vaccines and tobacco cessation. Dental services include cleanings and evaluations. Offers referrals for extractions and fillings. Offers help with signing up for Medicaid, RRMC Free Care, and YOU First. Patients may get help with over-the-counter and prescription medications. Facebook updated regularly with exact dates of upcoming medical clinics. No emergency services available; Dental clinic does not perform root canals or cosmetic services, but may be able to make referrals.
