Provides comprehensive services to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other pervasive developmental disorders. Individuals are assigned professional service coordinators who are responsible for clients' Individualized Support Agreements, and for assisting them in achieving success in the community. Services include personal support and case management; specialized residential programs; psychiatric and medical care; vocational and skill acquisition training; family support services; and support services to individuals in nursing homes. Provides a spectrum of supported living arrangements to meet the needs of each person. Clinical services for individuals include provision of a psychiatrist to provide evaluation, medication checks, and after-hours consultation on medication issues. Also provides care coordination services. Flexible Family Funding is a secondary service that provides state funds to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families with support services such as respite care to enhance their ability to live together.

Assists youth in developing the life and living skills necessary to aid in the transition to independent living and adulthood. Educational resources include budgeting, employment, and application assistance. Case management and support s provided to youth and young adults who receive tenant based rental assistant with vouchers and administered monthly rental payments. Mediation is offered to support clients with communication with landlords, mitigating issues and concerns which arise to ensure secure housing for the youth and young adults.

Offers innovative and often very intensive assistance to youth transitioning to adulthood with accessing and succeeding in employment, education, housing, positive relationships, community connections, and living independently. The JOBS program focuses on youth who have either left or are seriously at-risk-of leaving school prior to successful graduation and are at high risk for involvement with the criminal justice system, substance use, homelessness, physical abuse, abusive behaviors, or other areas of significant concern.
Offers adult education and literacy instruction that provides learners with the opportunity to acquire the education and literacy skills they need either to complete a secondary education or to better achieve post-secondary/career goals. Instruction is provided at six learning centers, as well as at job sites, libraries, and other locations. Services include the following: Functional Literacy Education (Reading, Writing, Math), Computer Literacy, English Language Learning, High School Completion Program, General Education Development (GED) Credentialing, and Career and College Readiness. Offers a full-time job training program in which participants learn the skills necessary for a job in the culinary industry. Training program offers hands-on experience. Participants can earn attendance bonuses, job placement support, and possible college credits. Program is offered in partnership with Vermont Food Bank.
Provides pre-employment assessment, on the job training, and vocational support to individuals eligible for developmental services. Agency is located at the end of Professional Drive. Main office is located in the back of the building on the lower level. Employment Support Services provided to the clients served within GMSS can access the Employment Support offices by appointment on the upper level by following the signs and ramp in the front of the building on the right hand side of the main entrance.

Provides a post-secondary educational option offering two-year Associates Degree programs and Certificate Programs at twelve regional Academic Centers, as well as through the Center for Online Learning. Classes may be online or in-person. Initial applications can be done via the website. Individuals may apply at regional campus if without access to Internet.
Provides citizenship education classes that prepare individuals to take the oath of U.S. citizenship. Citizenship courses help immigrants develop an understanding of and appreciation for American culture, institutions and ideals; and focus on important events in U.S. history, the Constitution and its historic background, and the organization, powers and duties of federal, state and local governments. Initial appointment is required to assess skill level in speaking English.
Offers apprenticeships in the following areas: Certified Public Bookkeeper, Manufacturing Production Technician, Medical Assisting, Medical Records Assistant, and Pharmacy Technician. All offerings pair credit-bearing classes with on-the-job learning. Initial applications can be done via the website. Individuals may apply at regional campus if no access to the Internet.

Operates a state approved independent school with a therapeutic educational curriculum for residential and day students. Teachers use diverse teaching methods to present curriculum and meet the goals of each child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) or other specialized needs.
Provides a safe space for individuals who identify as multicultural or as New Americans. Provides referrals to resources, services, and programs in the community; develops leadership and peer mentoring skills; and supports the development of life skills related to education and personal growth. The staff is multilingual and can connect youth to Spectrum services.

Offers new and diverse learning opportunities for serving the intellectual needs of Vermont’s older citizens through non-credit courses and programs offered at an affordable cost. Check location website to see if it is currently offering programs. Some are Online and some are In Person. OLLI no longer takes any payments at the door/onsite. All attendees/members should pre-register prior to the start of the program. Membership in one of the local Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) locations allows admission to programs in the other local OLLIs around the state. OLLI statewide membership also entitles the member to the discounted member rate for the OLLI on UVM campus short courses and special events.
Offers weekend programs for those who would like to explore science, ecology, the environment, and environmental justice while expanding their leadership skills. Participants will have an opportunity to explore nature, learn about the environment, and be hands on with outdoor projects as a way to give back to the community. Transportation is available.
