Works with hospitals and other community providers, such as Early Head Start, homebirth midwives, and primary care professionals, to provide newborn and early periodic hearing screenings. Provides support, training, and care management for families and their babies, hospitals, and community providers. Part of Children with Special Health Needs (CSHN).

Provides intensive inpatient and outpatient medical services to treat specific traumatic injuries generally incurred in or around combat. Amputee rehabilitation, brain trauma, case care management, and physical therapy are all included in the medical services.

Provides evaluations for hearing sensitivity and speech understanding, tinnitus/hyperacusis, and offers consultations and fittings for hearing aids. Provides information on other assisted listening devices.
