BUILDING BRIGHT FUTURES COUNCILS | BUILDING BRIGHT FUTURES
Provides advocacy for early childhood service delivery system improvements from local communities to both the Building Bright Futures Council and the legislature. Each council provides information about regularly scheduled opportunities for parents to participate in a wide variety of recreational activities. All councils serve as local hubs of information for early childhood and family resource networks. The Statewide BBF Council is comprised of 21 appointed members. Five members are state agency or department heads from the Agency of Human Services, the Agency of Commerce and Community Development, the Agency of Education, the Department of Health and the Department for Children and Families. Other members include two to four legislators, two business representatives, and a variety of community, health and early childhood representatives.
