Provides curb-to-curb transportation services for individuals who are unable to use fixed-route public transportation due to a disability. Serves individuals within 3/4 mile of the fixed-route service. Applicants will be notified of their eligibility within 21 days of assessment. Application is available for download from the website.
Offers medical care transportation by volunteer drivers to doctor's appointments and pharmacy visits. Transportation for shopping and other health-related errands may be available and is based upon availability of drivers. Bridges & Beyond drivers can transport clients out of Rutland County only if they are seeking medical treatment or consultation at a hospital or affiliated medical office. Volunteer drivers are screened via interview, criminal background check, and driving record.

Provides a variety of services to support the health and well-being of neighbors on a temporary basis. Services may include transportation, friendly visiting, certificates and forms assistance, yard work, assistance with errands, homemaker assistance, and minor home repairs and maintenance. Also provides one-time emergency financial assistance to individuals facing a short-term crisis as well as referrals to other agencies for more long term needs. Barnard Helping Hands in partnership with Barnard General Store maintains a food collection box to support Woodstock Community Food Shelf. They also work closely with the Hub in Woodstock, the Ottauquechee Health Foundation and the Woodstock Thomspon Senior Center.

Provides wheelchair-accessible, door-to-door transportation to medical appointments and therapy, grocery shopping, adult day programs, senior meals, and personal and social activities. Door-through-door service includes assisting passenger within the origin or destination of their trip. Individuals not requiring wheelchair accessibility are usually transported in private autos operated by C.I.D.E.R. volunteer drivers. Most trips are "on demand" except for regularly scheduled shopping or excursion trips. May be able to accommodate early morning, evening and weekend requests as well.

Provides programs that help individiuals to remain in their homes and connected to the community. Services may include transportation to medical appointments, shopping, friendly visits and reassurance calls, chores and yard work, and homemaker assistance. Also provides medical equipment loans, as well as a modest home heating assistance fund. The only wheelchair-accessible entrance to Westminster Cares is the back entrance.

Provides transportation service for clients of various human service agencies that have partnered with Green Mountain Community Network. Rides can be to medical appointments, congregate meal sites for seniors and approved by the local AAA, adult day services, essential shopping, vocational, and essential personal trips. Offers volunteer driver opportunities. Partner agencies include Bennington Project Independence, United Counseling Service, Southwestern Vermont Council on Aging. To volunteer to provide rides, call for an application.

Completed applications are evaluated within 21 days of receipt. Upon approval, individual can then contact Special Services Transportation Agency (SSTA) to make travel arrangements. Schedule by 4:30pm the day before travel.
