SPECTRUM DROP-IN CENTER | SPECTRUM YOUTH & FAMILY SERVICES

Offers a safe place that focuses on basic needs such as providing lunch and dinner; use of telephone and computer; and access to laundry facilities, hygiene items, clothes, and showers. Provides support, case management, and referrals. Free safer sex materials are available. LGBTQ2+ support offered. No referral is necessary to access the Drop-In Center, however there is a brief and confidential intake process for all clients during their first visit.

JOHN CASSARINO OVERNIGHT SHELTER | OPEN DOOR MISSION

Provides overnight shelter for men and women. Offers case management and life skills program, laundry, and referrals for education, medical treatment, and mental health services. Shelter clients may be eligible for transitional housing. Open Door Mission is a participant in the Veterans Shelter Project. Shower facilities are available to any homeless person . Single Adults 18 and Older who have successfully participated in the overnight shelter program are eligible to enter the transitional housing portion of the program.

HOMELESS AND CRISIS SERVICES | H.O.P.E.

Provides tarps and tents (when the temperature is above freezing), sleeping bags/blankets, warm clothing, hand warmers and shelf stable foods. Also offers a space for washing up. Will provide start-up items like small household items, bedding, toiletries, and clothing for those leaving homelessness and setting up a home. Assists with accessing community services and resources including flood recovery.

JOHN W GRAHAM EMERGENCY SHELTER | JOHN GRAHAM HOUSING & SERVICES

Provides emergency shelter to homeless individuals and families. Services provided for shelter residents include emergency food, assistance in short and long term goal-setting, weekly on-site mental health counseling, support in finding transitional or permanent housing, and referrals to local community services. The main shelter has 9 rooms, including a handicap-accessible room; common room with kitchen facilities; playground; and Internet and telephone for the use of the residents. No alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons or violent behavior are allowed at the Shelter, and rules are strictly enforced.

RECOVERY CENTER SERVICES | JOURNEY TO RECOVERY COMMUNITY CENTER

Offers a substance free environment for peer support, educational programs, information and referral to needed services, recovery coaching, socializing, recreational activities, and meeting space for a variety of recovery workshops and meetings. They offer shower facilities for those experiencing homelessness. They also offer Narcan.

DAYSTATION | COTS

Provides a daytime drop-in center that offers refuge from the streets, as well as access to COTS Housing Navigators and the Homeless HealthCare project. Offers noontime meal daily and annual Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. Also provides shower and laundry facilities.

WINDSOR RESOURCE CENTER | MOUNT ASCUTNEY HOSPITAL AND HEALTH CENTER

Connects individuals to a wide variety of social and state agency services and assists individuals with accessing services and financial assistance. Also provides office space from which social services agencies and state agencies can provide direct services, as well as public meeting spaces, public access to computers, a free Giving Room clothing closet, small food pantry, and a Promise Room which provides space for prevention initiatives. They offer space as a cooling center in the summer and a warming center in the winter. Year round laundry and shower facilities are also available. Items in the Giving Room clothing closet can include: clothing of all sizes, winter coats, hats and mittens/gloves, shoes/boots, small bags, books, puzzles, and some personal hygiene items. Call ahead to donate clothing. Because it is a small space, they can only accept donations if there is room.

NOTE: The Center is currently closed but services are still provided at other locations listed in Relevant Notes. Provides a peer-run, drop-in mental health community center. Offers services such as: daily lunch (Lunch is on hold until site can be located), workshops, peer-to-peer support circles, social gatherings, computer access, and a public shower. TIM'S HOUSE | SAMARITAN HOUSE

Provides temporary emergency shelter and supportive services. Drop-In Center open during administrative hours with access to laundry machines, showers, hygiene products, phone/computer and a temperature-controlled environment. Additional shelter services and hours are available depending on extreme weather and staffing. Allows well-behaved pets. Each room is private. Pets are welcome at the shelter. There is no maximum length of stay for shelter guests. The shelter lobby is also available as a warming center regardless of extreme weather during regular administrative hours.

966 MAIN SHELTER | BENNINGTON COUNTY COALITION FOR THE HOMELESS

Provides a year-round daytime drop-in center, as well as an overnight shelter, that provides case management, forms assistance, access to computers, and referrals. Food is available. Showers are available for any unsheltered individuals experiencing homelessness during daytime drop-in hours. Often a waiting list for beds. Call By Telephone for availability. GROUNDWORKS DROP-IN CENTER AND OVERNIGHT SHELTER | GROUNDWORKS COLLABORATIVE

Provides a drop in center with access to snacks and coffee, showers, laundry facilities, email, a mailing address, telephones, access to the food shelf, and a kitchen to prepare meals. Also provides an overnight shelter with a place to sleep and a hot meal each night.
