Offers a safe place that focuses on basic needs such as providing lunch and dinner; use of telephone and computer; and access to laundry facilities, hygiene items, clothes, and showers. Provides support, case management, and referrals. Free safer sex materials are available. LGBTQ2+ support offered. No referral is necessary to access the Drop-In Center, however there is a brief and confidential intake process for all clients during their first visit.

Shelter clients may be eligible for transitional housing. Open Door Mission is a participant in the Veterans Shelter Project. Shower facilities are available to any homeless person . Single Adults 18 and Older who have successfully participated in the overnight shelter program are eligible to enter the transitional housing portion of the program.

No alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons or violent behavior are allowed at the Shelter, and rules are strictly enforced.

Connects individuals to a wide variety of social and state agency services and assists individuals with accessing services and financial assistance. Also provides office space from which social services agencies and state agencies can provide direct services, as well as public meeting spaces, public access to computers, a free Giving Room clothing closet, small food pantry, and a Promise Room which provides space for prevention initiatives. They offer space as a cooling center in the summer and a warming center in the winter. Year round laundry and shower facilities are also available. Items in the Giving Room clothing closet can include: clothing of all sizes, winter coats, hats and mittens/gloves, shoes/boots, small bags, books, puzzles, and some personal hygiene items. Call ahead to donate clothing. Because it is a small space, they can only accept donations if there is room.

There is no maximum length of stay for shelter guests. The shelter lobby is also available as a warming center regardless of extreme weather during regular administrative hours.
