Provides monthly supplemental nutrition assistance benefits to low-income households to purchase food. Households in which any person is younger than 65 access their benefit using a Vermont Express electronic benefits transfer (EBT) debit card. If everyone in a household is 65 or older, or receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), benefits are deposited as cash into the recipient's bank account. Expedited benefits are available in emergencies and other specific situations. EBT cards may also be used to buy fresh, local products at certain farmers' markets in Vermont. A list of farmer's markets that can accept EBT cards is available on the website. In addition, 3SquaresVT benefits may be used for seeds and plants that grow fruit and vegetables at any retailer or farmer's market that accepts EBT cards.

Provides Work Incentives Counselors who can help individuals decide whether to work, keep necessary benefits while they work, and avoid work/benefits conflicts. The program is also available to youth in high school who are in transition to adult life. Youth and their families can receive accurate information about the impact of employment on all Federal and State benefits they receive. Provides the Vermont Work/Benefits Helpline.

Provides screening, diagnostics, and treatment planning services for people who are experiencing acute or chronic psychiatric problems. Offers individual, group, conjoint (couples), and family counseling, therapy groups, medication and other mental health services for community residents, including those who have may be experiencing difficulty resolving personal or interpersonal conflicts or making personal adjustments to stressful life situations.

Provides monthly cash assistance to low-income households in which a person's care or services are essential to an elderly or disabled person's remaining in his or her home. Benefit can be directly deposited into a bank account, or put onto an EBT card.

Provides a flexible-schedule, flexible-route curb-to-curb service. MyRide is an on-demand travel service that takes multiple passengers heading in the same direction and books them into a shared vehicle.

Helps youth with disabilities plan and prepare for life after high school. HireAbility Vermont vocational counselors work with both students and school personnel. Services include career counseling, assessment, job search skills, work experiences, exploration of post-secondary education and training programs, workplace readiness, instruction in self-advocacy, and guidance and information on IEP and transition planning, 504 accommodations, benefits planning, and other needed services.

Educates the public about alternative, renewable energy sources, promotes investment in clean, safe renewable energy, and works to reduce toxic threats to the environment and human health throughout the state. VPIRG is also the lead advocacy agency for accuracy in labeling, requiring clear and specific disclosure of all ingredients, including genetically modified organisms (GMOs), that go into the production of food being sold in Vermont.

Provides non-urgent health care. Includes exams, nutrition counseling, and mental health counseling. Women's health care services provided through partner providers in nearby locations. Also included are acute illness care, chronic care management, vaccines and tobacco cessation. Dental services include cleanings and evaluations. Offers referrals for extractions and fillings. Offers help with signing up for Medicaid, RRMC Free Care, and YOU First. Patients may get help with over-the-counter and prescription medications.
