ADOLESCENT SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER SERVICES | NORTHEAST KINGDOM HUMAN SERVICES
Provides individualized outpatient substance use assessment and treatment services for adolescents who are dependent upon, or at risk of becoming dependent upon, alcohol or other substances. Also provides family substance use counseling for families dealing with adolescent addictions/substance use issues and provides group treatment services for adolescents. Provides information about alcohol and drug use, the effects on individuals, families and communities, as well as information to the public about strategies for prevention and early intervention. As the Public Inebriate Program's designated agency, provides assessment and placement of individuals requiring medically monitored detoxification.

Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) is the designated community mental health agency for Caledonia, Essex and Orleans Counties under contract with Vermont Department of Mental to provide acute and long-term behavioral health care services to people with a wide range of emotional, behavioral and other mental health problems, substance abuse and/or developmental challenges. NKHS provides emergency and crisis intervention services for adults, children, adolescents and their families; and substance use treatment services, including the Public Inebriate Program and the IDRP (Impaired Driver Rehabilitation Program).
