Provides the training for all law enforcement professionals in the state. Training conducted in person and online. The Police Academy is co-located with the Fire Service Training Center and Office of Professional Development (Vermont State Police Training Unit).

The Vermont Criminal Justice Council (VCJC) is the organization responsible for establishing rules, policies, regulations, and standards for certification and training of criminal justice personnel in Vermont. The VCJC serves as a resource to municipalities, counties, and the state to improve the quality of citizen protection. Also oversees professional regulation issues.
