PET CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM | WINDHAM COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY
Provides pet care assistance for households that are struggling to provide adequate care for their companion animals. Provides basic veterinary care on a sliding scale, including flea/tick treatments, wormer, and non-prescription items. Also offers a pet food pantry and free supplies. Pre-pay is required. Payment assistance plans are available. Assistance is provided based on an agreement to work with WCHS to have all family pets spayed or neutered, and to not acquire any more pets while receiving assistance.

Services include animal adoption; shelter for animals who have been abandoned, abused, or surrendered by their owners; low or no-cost spay neuter and wellness clinics; preventive care for low-income pet owners; community education about pet care; and assist law enforcement in the investigation of reported cruelty and neglect of animals.
