Description

Provides consumers with a forum to resolve car warranty problems. Offers educational information about the law, frequently asked questions, and the process of arbitration. Consumers may file a Demand for Arbitration to request a hearing after demonstration of reasonable repair, which is usually three unsuccessful attempts or 30 cumulative calendar days out of service within the manufacturer's express written warranty. The term "motor vehicle" includes automobiles, select recreational vehicles, and trucks up to a certain weight. Forms are available for download on the website.

The Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is a division of the Vermont Agency of Transportation. Services provided include testing for and provision of driver licenses, driver permits, and non-driver ID cards, vehicle registrations and inspection requirements, provision of titles, commercial vehicle operating requirements information, operators' legal obligations with regard to filing an accident report, provision of highway safety training, and other informational programs.
