3SQUARES IN A SNAP (3SNP) | VERMONT DEPARTMENT FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES - ECONOMIC SERVICES DIVISION

Allows eligible Vermonters to use a simpler, shorter 3SquaresVT application, with a 36 month renewal term and no recertification interview. Each program enrollee will have an individual caseworker. Current 3SquaresVT recipients who qualify will be converted to 3Squares in a SNAP. Income from Social Security or SSDI does not count as earned income; Can apply for Seasonal Fuel Assistance on same application if eligible

Eligibility

Household income equal to or less than 185% of the Federal Poverty Level, and where EVERYONE is at least 60 years old AND/OR receiving disability benefits, and NOBODY in the household has earned income (income from a job or self-employment).
