SHELTER AND ADOPTION SERVICES | RUTLAND COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY

Provides shelter and adoption services for stray or surrendered pets. All cats, dogs, and rabbits at the shelter are spayed or neutered and undergo behavior modification as necessary before being adopted out. Adoption includes a voucher for one free examination with your local veterinarian. Performs euthanasia only in circumstances of highly aggressive or extremely ill animals at the shelter. In addition, offers a means of reporting a missing pet via a form on the website. Stray animals are welcome any day, but please call ahead. Donations can be left in the donation bin outside the Adoption Center. Stray and owner surrender animals can only be accepted from Rutland County.
