Provides financial and technical assistance to income-eligible landlords and homeowners in Vermont to reduce the risk of lead poisoning caused by lead-based paint hazards. VHCB also provides lead information for parents, homeowners, renters, landlords and contractors via the LeadSafeVermont website; offers a free guide to lead paint safety for painting, home maintenance, and renovation; and provides free trainings on lead paint safety for rental property owners, managers and contractors.

Vermont Housing and Conservation Board (VHCB) is an independent, state-supported funding agency providing grants, loans and technical assistance to nonprofit organizations, municipalities and state agencies for the development of affordable housing and for the conservation of agricultural land, recreational land, natural areas and historic properties in Vermont. VHCB also administers an AmeriCorps program, the Farm & Forest Viability Program, and the Lead-Based Paint Hazard Reduction Program that provides financial and technical assistance to income-eligible landlords and homeowners in Vermont. Also provides administrative and financial support for the Land Access and Opportunity Board.
