Vermont state
Provides a form for the collection of information from individuals who may need extra help during disasters or area emergencies. Information becomes available to 911 dispatchers during a declared disaster. Dispatchers will then contact local emergency responders or volunteers where the person is located and the type of care and support needed. The CARE program is a collaboration between E-911, and Vermont Emergency Management.

Vermont Enhanced 911 is a nine-member Vermont state board, defined under 30 VSA 7051, responsible for Vermont's statewide 911 system. The Board works in partnership with coordinators in every municipality and the state's six Public Safety answering Points.
