Provides information about poison emergencies, as well as information about poisons and poison prevention, medication information for older adults, substance abuse information and other drug-related information, and poison information for pets. Also provides educational programs and materials including animals poison and work place safety for poison control. Poison Hotline will respond to questions about accidental poisoning with chemicals, fumes and medications; substance abuse; suicide attempts; workplace exposures; drug interactions and adverse effects; allergic reactions; malicious or criminal poisonings; food poisoning or infectious disease; dangerous drugs of abuse (including abused medications); and dangerous toys or products.
