Provides public awareness and education to promote community wellness and to prevent the misuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, with an emphasis on youth substance use prevention. Collaborates with other wellness programs, schools, and communities to help them promote healthy behaviors and reduce health risks.

The Hartford Community Coalition (HCC) is a non-profit organization serving the Hartford area through education and collaboration to promote wellness and prevent the misuse of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, with an emphasis on youth substance use prevention. HCC also supports initiatives and programs such as the Drug Take Back Program, Getting to Y, Suicide Prevention Resources, Take a Bite Out of Hunger, Talking Matters: Navigating the Hard Stuff with Youth, and Youth Mental Health First Aid.
