SOTERIA HOUSE | PATHWAYS VERMONT
Provides a residence that supports individuals going through an early episode of an extreme state, sometimes called psychosis, as an alternative to traditional hospitalization. Services focus on interpersonal relationships and being with the individual in need. Although medication is available to residents, it is not the first intervention. Provides a non-restrictive environment where residents are able to establish, maintain, and renew relationships and activities in the community. Applicants will be contacted within one business day. Soteria has on-site psychiatry, but treats psychiatric medication as a personal choice and offers alternative modalities, including yoga, meditation, journaling and intentional exploration.
