Offers a comprehensive youth development program that is designed to build self-respect, self-reliance, and self-esteem through outdoor adventure, achievement, and leadership opportunities. Scouts meet on a regular basis with trained adult leaders serving as mentors in all facets of the program. Scouts BS are organized by all-boy troops or all-girl troops.

Green Mountain Council / Boy Scouts of America is a non-profit youth development organization for boys and girls ages 5-20 years. Cub Scouts is a family program designed for boys and girls 5-10 years of age. Scouts BSA is for boy troops and girl troops made up of youth 11-17 years of ages. Venturing and Exploring are offered as co-ed programs for youth ages 14-20 years in Vermont. Scouting programs provide opportunities to develop individual and group initiative and responsibility; to develop moral and ethical values of character; and to promote citizenship and personal fitness habits in a wide range of organized recreational, educational, and civic activities.
