Description

Provides information and conducts training about civil rights laws and the Commission's role in enforcing those laws, by speaking with groups about their rights and responsibilities under those laws. In addition, VHRC staff members participate in a number of workshops, networks, coalitions, and committees as a partner with other public and private entities. The Vermont Human Rights Commission is a state agency charged with promoting full civil and human rights in Vermont. The Commission protects individuals from unlawful discrimination in housing, state government employment, and public accommodations. The Commission's mission is fulfilled by enforcing laws, educating the public, providing information, and advancing effective public policies on human rights.
